Well, me and my fiance started playing Ryzom a couple days ago. We're Zorai, and...having plenty of trouble figuring things out. x.x

We got to around level 8 in most skills before we went to Zora, in hope that there would be other people there who might be able to help us, but thus far...no such luck.

This is a very complex game, and...well, we'd appreciate any sort of advice we could be given. :)

Welcome to the game ... as far as I know Zoraï is still the least populated race.

Don't join the first guild that throws an invite ... look around find one that matches you play times the best and your RP/PvP stance and stuff like that ...

To see my guilds info click the link in my sig (the one that says Atys Paladins) there are plenty of guilds out there find the one that fits you :) .

And most of all Welcome :)

Welcome. :) On the subject of guilds, there's a good list of them here. Being in a guild will make it easier to quickly get help ingame.

Hmm...random tips...

- Press K to customize keymappings.

- Use a mix of medium and heavy armor in melee for protection + less stamina usage. Use light armor for foraging and crafting, and light or a mix of light and medium for magic.

- Set chat window to USER so you can monitor all channels. Use the little button on the lower-left side of the chat window to change which channel your messages are sent to.

Some free advice; don' t underestimate the benefits of having even the lowest form of healing (others that is, not self-heal). If the both of you plan to team up with just the two of you you' ll find it very convenient to put at least some points in that Magical branch, just so you can avoid getting a death penalty from going commatose.

Other than that; just stick to the Refugee islands till you get a basic grasp of the mechanics or till you' re feeling really really lonely. :p

Once on the mainland, don' t be afraid to ask questions. Most people won' t bite.

Welcome to Atys! :)

And don´t be fooled, there are enough players around, only they´re all about somewhere hunting, Animals, or each other :D

If you would like some help you can ask i region chat.
Also try typing /who and check system info for any names that pops up. Then you'll get some idea who and how many are in your region at the moment
