Have there been any changes in the past year which might affect the validity of that guide? The information looks very useful, and I will most likely put some of it into play when I get back into game and go digging :D I USED to think I knew a thing or two about digging, but I have to bow to the master *hehehe*

The system has not changed, or atleast not that I've noticed, the guide is still a verry good and current. There might be some visual changes in the interface, and you can't use space to select a source anymore, but that is about all I can remember.

*tips hat to doubletap*

Hey, that rhymed *hehehe* So, you have to actually click on a source to select it now, eh? I don't think that would make much of a difference to me, I think... unless I get Basic something and Excellent something else right on top of one another *hehehe*

You can also use the "/tar" command in the chat box. So, if my source is called "Raw Material Source [Oudknoei]", I can type:

/tar raw

If there's more than one, it'll target one of them and which one is hard to predict. It could also target someone else's source. This command:

/tar "Raw Material Source [Oudknoei]"

will target one of your sources only. Text commands can be put into a macro. If you're using the Knowledge stanza, your source name will be different and will require a different name in your /tar command.

Personally, I only use Knowledge when I'm searching for something, but I don't know where it should be. If I know what I'm looking for, I'll use the specific filter on my prospect action, but leave Knowledge off so my target names are always the same.

There are several things changed... but no real biggies that I am aware of. I am not sure if I edited out the"2-step" rule... digging in MA/HA and other things they tweaked.

I have heard some say the modes have changed but I don't see it.

I have included nothing on the faction picks yet because I don't dig much these days. When you have not leveled a skill in over a year because the same cap remains, you don't do it very often :P

I've seen the /tar command used in posts on the forums, and I was thinking it was the Unix command /tar, which would put the target object into some sort of archive. Was I mixed up or what *hehehe*

I generally used Knowledge only to narrow down the sources, and once on one, I left Knowledge out. Unless there were two sources one on top of the other, that is. But, from what you're saying, I could create a 'target raw source' macro and use that? That would be cool.

Thanks for the info. :D

If someone provides up to date information, would you consider adding it to your guide? It does seem to be the most complete guide available :D

I did see where you mentioed the '2-step' rule no longer worked, and that digging in armor did cost additional focus; I didn't know they'd changed how much the armor changed it by, though.

And I can totally dig how you might not feel like digging all that much anymore.

Actually /tar is the short version of /target
That should make it more clear.
