Ryzom

Hope you noticed most pple answering those posts with their "Asherons Call was better" attitude arent even registered users .... Perhaps those pple didnt even try beta... or only for some hours ... or those pple dont even have a clue what a good rpg really is like ... or those pple are about 12 years old and just cant get the money it takes to play online ... or those pple just are jealous that others have that money... or they want u to buy the game theyr playing right now ... or or or

I have never played Ryzom in beta, but believe me, i played lots of RPGs already, most of them online. Starting with meridian59 which was one of the best and most addictiv Online RPGs (actually the first one) ever. Most people now say UUUUU the graphics are ugly and uuuu there are no features but its still a good game. What counts is the community, what makes a MMORPG? The features? The graphics? The fun "living" with other pple? Right, the last one! As i said i played really lots of MMORPGs and the Ryzom Community not only is humourus and friendly and helpful theyr ... adult. No 12 year olds, no L33T Kids or any other guys spoiling the fun.
Despite from that Ryzom will offer far more than any other games i ever played (well UO is topnotch here It has one of the greatest Char systems (right after Meridian59) It has Graphics that really fit the flair of the game (you WILL feel home!) aaand the guides really are fast and friendly 24/7.

Sure there are Problems, but its difficult to start a whole new world working perfectly isnt it? I know "someone" and even HE needed some updates to get things like they are. Even HE hasnt included all the "features" right from the start hehe.
You have to decide whom to believe, some depressed ***** (insert a really mean word here hehe) who can nearly play that game on low Graphics and who only played D2 till now or an old MMORPG fan.
In the end its your decision. But I am glad i bought this game, not that other one standing beside it (something with Wtar Sars or something). btw. i played SWG trial of course ... its crap

Thats all i have to say. Please TRY this game before giving other pple advices to buy or not.
If 50$ is too much for you to risk then just wait till some open WE or some free trial and give this game a chance. Community, Graphics, Missions, Story (soon, most MMORPG dont have any), Character System and a beautiful world are waiting for you. And that statement comes from a really really critical player. (the problems that currently are in the game can be solved with one , two patches. The Devs really making a great job here. Most pple i read based theyr "Ryzom is crap" threads on one of those minor problems)

P.S. Oh ya, need to add something. Do u think those posts that only say "Ryzom is CRAAAAP" "DAOC has better Graphics" and stuff are some kind of review? Its obvious nonesense (get some work, buy some good graphic card and raise Graphic Optinons)

Funny you called SWG crap but you offer no input on how Ryzom is better than SWG at the start. You are contradicting yourself there.
SWG crafting system at the start blows away Ryzom. SWG started with many dungeons, does Ryzom have any? SWG had 9? planets all different. Ryzom has 4 continents and like I said run around one for 30 seconds and you have seen pretty much everything.
SWG if you were an Imp you could attack rebel bases. If Im a matis why cant I go with friends and attack a small Zorai camp?
Do you think there will be no major LAG when bugs attack a city? There will be, specially when we all have lag with almost an empty server.
Not a good start for a game. They are missing way too much content for a brand mew mmorpg

You obviously havent played SWG at start did you? Or AO or any other MMORPG? ComeOn dont blame a game just because its not what u used to play, just because its not DAOC or SWG.
Ryzom will grow (geographical) btw. u said u wanted more planets? How much have you seen of Atys already? ... answer enough
Size isnt everything and content is comming. Lets say some "simple minded" wont realize. You really wanna walk 5 hours from one tree to the next?

Even if WoW would become the crappiest game ever (well lets not hope this) many pple will hype it just because, well, they dont know any other.

As i dont like SWG, you dont like Ryzom ... accept that. An encyclopedia has much much much content ...why dont pple read them frequently?

A MMORPG lives from its pple playing it and if i am allowed to say something like that its the firendliest and most grown up community ive ever seen. Thats the fun in Ryzom ... believe it or not...

I dont care if you buy or not, if you like Ryzom or not, just wanted to say i am having fun and many others too. (Damn, my bad english makes it nearly impossible to write my opinion down)

p.s. Sure, iam starting to write a negative review on SWG on the Ryzom board... how poor am i? Its enough you know i didnt like it.

Well, content IS here. Perhaps i shouldnt have set content=story. If Developers want their story to develop, why should they tell their plans to everyone?
As is said, ALL mmorpgs have been released unfinished.
btw. why do you wanna have outposts and all implemented if noone is able to capture them yet at their current lvl? Wait for patch 2, if that one doesnt help, ill probably scream as loud as some other guys on the forum )
Probably louder, give it a chance. It has more potential as most other MMORPGS out now. Remember DAOC? The beta and the first release weeks?

I like the game, try and you see. If you dont have the money to buy the box in risk then wait for the trial (which comes out after some patching i suppose )
