2nd Hominist Conference IC/OOC/R2

OOC
I think it's about time we had a second one of these.
Unfortunately while the first one was productive supporter exodus, the change in the HOPE alliance and the increase in PvP seems to have scuppered the ideas and hopefulness that was present there, while the negativity and interruptions that went on seem to have been born out by events since.
However R2 is drawing closer and, with spires coming after that, I think the only real change or development we'll see for a while looks like it may have to come from the community.
Looking at posts by Zysha and others it's fairly clear that, while I may have put it in less charitable terms at the time, I was right. The real divide isn't between Kami and Karavan that's been created it's between, uhmmm.... let's call it Cooperative Players and Competetive Players - to stay nice.
Cooperative Players are being shortchanged at present and changes to that may be a while in the offing.
Still, with R2 we don't really have an excuse on that one, we'll be able to make our own content to satisfy our ends. This may not give that much hope to Zysha and the crafter types but at least RP wise it's fairly hopeful.
There's a lot of neutral, or indifferent players still out there and a lot likely to be curious enough to come back for a look-see when R2 comes along so, what I'm proposing is that those of us who feel that way come together as a sort of 'RP Alliance' putting together people with good ideas and story talent and people who (eventually) learn to handle the R2 tools well.
The tentative idea would be to pool talents and resources in a creative think-tank of sorts and to create our own independent and complimentary plots and interlinked outlands and storylines to weave together something wonderful.
My basic idea would be an exodus of the more peaceful homins, seeking to get away from the conflict and establish new homelands (outlands) away from the Kami Karavan fighting. With the trusted status etc that Jessica mentioned in that interview there's also the possibility of making 'real game' grounds that reflect this as well. Not to mention the possibility of these scenarios being a potential secondary source of Crystals (as mentioned in another thread) providing a possible non PvP method to acquire the most sought after OP reward.
I think there's plenty of mileage in this story arc which mirrors the old west and the original Ryzom story a lot of us were sold on of rebuilding.
Anyway, those are just my ideas and I think it'd be a good idea to bring together people of similar inclination and thought.
IC:
What seems like an eternity ago now I proposed and hosted the first hominist conference. Since then war has come to Atys, not all out war but war nonetheless. Where homin stood by homin they now fight, where differing faiths were tolerated now there is hatred. The outposts that were supposed to be the first steps in rebuilding our shattered lands are now just places to fight over, shattering our lands further.
I think it is time to discuss where we can go from here. There are other lands opening up for exploration, perhaps we - together - can forge a path to them and establish a new land, free from the mistakes of the past where homin can live together in peace as we did in the camps, learning from each other as the Force of Fraternity did.
We should hold a second meeting.
Are there any propositions as to when and where it could be held?
OOC:
A weekend would be good most likely, but we don't want to clash with an official event and it needs to be good for both timezones. Discussion would likely mostly end up being OOC and while some discussion could go on here I think it's probably best for people to talk in person - hence the meeting.
Any ideas?
