The next patch in the pipe will bring important server architecture changes, including the unification of the shards (this is not a server merge!)
- we talked about it some time ago in this Q&A. This patch will require the shards to be down several days, to ensure everything goes well.

As we will most likely patch this month (May), we inform you right now that we will need to close the servers for 4 days. This heavy technical patch will prepare the shards for the NPE and, later, the Ring release.

We will tell you more about that patch later this month. Stay tuned!

O.K., so, now we just need to know when so we can schedule all those "heavy" projects and long trips we've been putting off 'cause they interfere too much with Game Play!

Tis a long time, but if it helps in the long run I guess its for the best

Seriously though, its good news that major patches are close, gives a certain feeling of anticipation for R2 and other goodies

I think Nev should push the next pay day out 4 days! 4 days is a lot for those paying upwards of £30 a month on this game..
