Ryzom

When updating, i log in and it checks the files and everything with no problem.
But when it asks about the files to update. The optional files and everything. But no matter how many i chose to update. It says Ryzom will now relaunch. And i click the button. After it restarts it makes me go through everything over and over. An infinate loop. I cant start the game itself because it wont stop the updating process. Any ideas?

Do the following:
- make sure that the game is installed on a local disk in your system, network drives will not work for Ryzom
- thoroughly scan your system for viruses and spyware
- if clean, disable your antivirus software
- delete the Ryzom UNPACK folder
- relaunch the game

edit: i am trying to update it right now as i speak, if it does not work i will tell you again b4 i got ot bed.

sry if i am not allowed to double post but i left it all night to update. i clciked relaunch and i got this error.

Runtime Error!

Program D:/Games/ryzom/cliet.exe has requested that runtime close it.

or thats as uch as i remember..

i tried relauncing the game maually and guess what.. it asks about which optional files to update again....

Are you running any software that might be using the files that are patching, like antivirus or desktop search tools? They sometimes lock the file that's patching in the /unpack/ folder, which results in an error.

no i am not. and i just did a check data to check my files and this is what i found.

missing or corrupted file:zorai_zones.bnp(133mb)
missing or corrupted file:tryker_zones.bnp(168.8mb)
missing or corrupted file:terre_zones.bnp(55.4)
missing or corrupted file:route_gouffre_zones.bnp(67.6)
and like 10 more missing or corrupted files i am to lazy to post

hey, if i cant update it from IN the game. is there a place i can manually download teh patch from and insall it?

i am gonan uninstall ryzom and reinstall it and try again..

anyone else got any more advice? stil ldoes not work. i reinstalled and i am updating now. i doubt itll work.

you wil lwant to download ALL the optional stuff i believe, that should prevent any missmatching or corrupted files
(i dont know why they give you a choice to be honest)

If that fails you will need to do a complete re-install (Wipe the game from your Hard drive completely before re-installing it)

ok i will try a conplete uninstall. which i though i did the last 3 times. i click uninstal ryzom and reinstalled it. i just did and tried to dl all the optional files. but it does not matter because my first problem keeps happening.

i select every file, no files, or a couple files or whatever. it updates and i dont know if it updates all the files or not.. but then it says the relaunch thing. i click relaung ryzom. and it starts checking the files for patches again..then it asks aout the optional files again. same size and everything. no matter how many time i do i it wont stop.
