part of the reason i'm giving ryzom a go is because from reading on places like mmorpg.com, i've heard that there's a mature community here.
so far, from perusing the forums, i've seen a TON of "imma tell mommy" posts. or "you broke the eula/forum rules, i'm telling".
seriously, where is this mature community i've read so much about?

I'd add that I think the intolerance of (much) of the more customary behaviour on forums would be a sign of (relative) maturity in fact.

As a community in genral we are a mature bunch- but theres always going to be an odd thread or post which looks like it has been writen by a 12 yr old- best thing is to get in game and check out how great everyone is. Its the only game ive ever played where people will give you alot and expect nothing in return, people are helpful and you just cant help thinking its the best community around- well at least i think so

Check the other sub-forums, the general one is like a trash bin
p.s. I see 3 or 4 threads that are as you describe, the rest are nice and normal. They do stand out tho

I'm sorry to say but I don't think your choice of title for this topic is very mature in itself. It was clearly chosen to stimulate an emotive response.
But looking at the replys you have had would suggest that there is generally a mature player base here.

Jup ,agreed, appart from ol´Jyu the Troll

all of us and on other Servers are a beautifull bunch of people. Sometimes someone gets a little angry, but hey, that happens everywhere, right?
Serioulsy, those threads you read are a mayor exception from the norm.
This Server had a few "Issues" about some things in the last week, but they seem to behave now... *huggels everyone allaround*
That´s why I love these guys and gals!!!

Indeed, in a similar no-offence-intended way, I have to repeat/quote/second both comments my old friend just made

OP, you have every right to ask that question of the community, but a more neutral choice of title/icon/post content would have been better, either that or a more 'tentative' mention of your fears

You'll find the community you're looking for here, but remember part of the responsibility lies with those asking the questions
Disclaimer: The above is intended in a light-hearted way, that is both my post and that of troll16. Also 'troll16' is a misleading forum name, and having spent some time with the player behind the name, I can safely say the name doesn't fit

Hope you don't mind me expanding on that mate
Oh and welcome back Jyudas - nice to see the 'inactive' tag gone at last. In my opinion a decision well reversed
