Keiko's Last Words

Keiko staggered as another blow stuck deep into her heart. “It’s done now,” she thought sadly. More blows pulled at her heartstrings. They were blows of hateful words; words that she’d never thought would come from her friends. “Whore,” she hears, thrown so casually. “Spy,” whispered in her ear.

“I guess they aren’t my friends anymore. I never thought they could turn from me like this. I never thought that my love of flesh would cause such hatred to bloom from my once good Karavan friends.” She understood now, and hated it.

Tears begin to stream down Keiko’s face. But her eyes glow. They shone with the power of the Gods. Her “friends” may hate her, but the Gods show her favor, show her pity. Keiko’s body begins to glow in anger, anger like no other. It is a sorrowful anger. She’s accepted that she isn’t accepted.
The words stopped with her glow. The insults ceased to exist when the Alliance members saw this strange happening. The strong matisians looked nervous. “What’s going on,” they asked one another, “Why does she look like that?”

Knowledge filled Keiko as she glowed. She stood from her seated spot at the stables of Yrkanis. “You think that what you’ve done, how you’ve acted to a homin that shows kindness to all hasn’t been noticed by the Gods? By your Jena? She may tell you to get rid of the infidels, but I was not such. I was simply someone who wanted to convert a different way. But no more!” Keiko’s words rang out in the silence around her. The tears the fell from her eyes glittered against her moonlight pale skin. “I loved you all as my brothers, sisters, and friends. But, no more. You’ve crushed my heart to pieces and there is no more love for you-”

Keiko stopped suddenly, cocking her head to the side as if listening to something no one else could hear. She then proceeded to nod her head, and looked back to the growing crowd of matisians. “I go now, on a trip to find the truth. So it is said, so mote it be.” Then she faded out, not to be seen again on Atys for many moons to come.

Such a sad story to be written.

A homin of such kind spirit will find their way for certain. She may feel that she has nothing right now, but she has hope.

I for one hope this isn't the last we see of Keiko after reading this note signed by her.

Hearing the shouts a Zorai arrives, moments too late. As he sees Keiko's departure, as he hears her words, a single tear runs down his mask.

Shaking his head sadly, with nothing he can do, he turns and walks away.

As Redslayer lays unconscious...He feels the sudden but noticable change in the air ...feeling this change he knows something bad has happened ...

Jaz sees Reds face change to that of sadness and wonders what has happened...

(keiko hope you come back to game soon)

*A sole tear slides down a young Homin's cheek as he watches from afar the glowing Keiko, knowing all too well what this meant. He would run to console her, but he was in a foreign land and unaccepted. Watching Keiko slowly fade to black, he shook his head sadly. Turning his gaze northwards, he headed for the desert and home - only one thought was in his mind as he slowly walked toward the darkening horizons, how long could this last? how many more friends could he possibly lose? too long, he thought, too many.

May Jena guide you in your new travels, Keiko

Watches in understanding as Keiko fades away and whispers upon the wind. "I understand, may your journey amoungst the Stars be enlightning. I and others shall prepare for your return. Go with the blessings of Gods of Ancient times. We, the Dragons of Shadow, of Ancient Atysian blood, are Honoured to have known you, and await your return."

*Bows deeply*

*After the image of Keiko fades* "Something must be done. No longer will we remain in the Shadows. It is time for us to return and restore the peace and Tranquility."

*Looks twards the Kami and the Karavan* "Ancient Brothers, You know who I am. I have remained in the Shadows long enough, and you have corrupted this planted for too long. Soon WE will ceace this war that has gone for an Age and return the planet to the Homins as was Intended. Your Hour is at an End."

Keiko's Return

The tall grass brushed against her knees as the wind blew her hair around her face. She welcomed the breeze, and listened to what the trees around her said as they blew in the wind. Their whispered words brought a smile to her face. She’d been gone long enough. She’d learned what she was meant to learn, and now she was so in touch with what nature had to over her, that she almost feared the technology that was expanding across Atys.

The breeze quickened and became a wind. It blew the leaves and dust in a little tornado around the woman. She lifted her pale face to the sky, a canopy of trees allowed small rays of sunshine make the woman seem ethereal. Her silky black hair lay still to the wind. The wind wasn’t touching her anymore; it was simply forming around her. Her moonlight pale arms were spread wide and she twirled around, a joyous smile on her mouth, and a shine of happiness showed through in her eyes.

The wind died down to almost nothing. The forest stilled. No creature dared to make a sound. He was speaking to her. The woman stood still, a few tears falling upon her cheeks. “Are you sure, ‘milord?” The woman asked.

Whispers rose from everywhere and nowhere in response to her question. The sounds all seemed to say something different, but also said the same thing. If the woman hadn’t heard it before, she surely would have been confused. But she’d listened to the whispers for a while now. She knew what was said, and was not sure of what she had to do.

Tears now flowed freely from her face. “So soon,” she thought sadly. “Already I have to leave the Summerland.” Creatures of the wild came out of their hiding places to say a final goodbye to the only homin they had known in a long time.

The woman kneeled down and put her hands out to the greet the creatures of the wild which had been her companions since her arrival. She would miss them dearly. These creatures had been her friends since her arrival, but now she would have to leave them.

The black haired woman drew strength from her small friends, and prepared herself mentally for the road that lied ahead. She stood up and started walking away from the deep forest. The words spoken to her earlier came to her mind. ‘To leave the forest, is to leave the Summerland. It is time you left, my child. Atys will embrace you, and you will feel my love in all of the nature that surrounds you.’

She made it to the end of the forest. The breeze started up again, and blew her light clothing around. It whispered for a final time to her here on the Summerlands. “Do not look back my child, go forward with the knowledge you have gained, and show it to them. Teach them what love really is.”

“Aye, ‘milord. I am ready to be resurrected.” And Keiko stepped forward, away from the forest into the bright sunlight.
