And the rules change

As far as I've understood it, the aligned and the non-aligned have had an agreement that there's no nuking at the supernode. Two (or three) nights ago I dug there with kami and karavan and there was no pvp-ing. So I expected the same to be the case tonight. How wrong was I? Very wrong, that's how wrong.

Because tonight, something was different. OV were there in force. I counted 8 I believe, before the sup popped, and I reckon about half were there in hp gear. To cut a long story short, they decided that not only were kami not going to be allowed to dig there, neither were those that help both kami and karavan. So, as soon as the sup popped, we were nuked. There were three of us there, all in focus gear, and we'd decided not to fight if nuked beforehand.

If that's what we get for helping both sides, then I wonder, why should we? Only one side has ever given me grief for helping both, only one side has ever nuked me without provocation, only one side has ever cussed me out. Sadly, it's the side I helped the most.

Things are going to change.

OV isnt that strong, bring a force to nuke them back next time ;D

I remember when Infinity tried to rule Supernodes, they got ganked by the rest of Atys, and after a while they cried that they couldnt dig sup mats anymore.

Thats a shame when your supposed friends turn on you like that. If Omega was there for supremes because they are running low and needed the entire node thats one thing..supernodes were meant to be fought over, but it sounds like they did it in the name of the KA. Mabey its time an alliance was created to keep the karavan's mighty force in check. I know violence doesn't solve violence, but when theres a force of bullies there is only 1 way to deal with them..and normally when the bullies lose their advantage they tuck their tails, run and rant. I am unable to log on for a while but i think i will defenatly return in the near future and do what i can to help bring stability to the little war going on.

Just 1 big thing though....if something is done to gather homins in rebellion against the KA then for homins sake don't get powerhungry with the force created..mearly use that power to thwart bullies and better hominkind.

Well there's always the "Guardians" alliance... might wanna look it up :p

Apart from that, I see nowhere that it says they did it for the karavan as a whole... Lathanial doesn't mention their reasoning at all infact, so unless you were there its pure speculation on your part :)

Also kind of amused how you say "it's one thing" for them to take it all for themselves, but imply that its sooooo much worse if they're doing it to help their allies

Personally, OV doing this leaves something of a bad taste ... wouldn't a fight in that area turn into complete chaos, though? Then again, the only PvP I've been involved in is the usual mess at the outposts, just healing away as if it meant something and totally unable to even look up due to lag...

the guardian alliance is a defensive only alliance focused on the defence of outposts. maybe we will extend that to protection at the SN's but woudl need to discuss it

also i think that lath was anoyed that as a karavan he was removed from teh SN's for having healed a kami on previous occasions. the language that was used by some of the OV members seemed to indicate that 'unless your 100% karavan and refuse to heal kami then p*** off' so in a way they were digging the sn for the 'karavan cause' and were denying modorate karavan guilds, neutral guilds and kami guilds. audrey for example was allowed to dig but i left before anyone else turned up.

to be honest tho i go to umbra.. i know it is pvp.. if i get to dig in peace then great if i get nuked by some 12 y/o kid that claims to be doing it for the kami or the karavan then proceeds to do the same to other members of their own faction i have lost nothing.. i'll just go get my zun from wastelands where there is no pvp.

i'll still rez ppl who need it unless they have died trying to cause grief to other players

edit to cut down on posts:
yaten wrote:just healing away as if it meant something and totally unable to even look up due to lag...

pvp in somewhere like ubra isn't the lagfest that op battles are since tehr are far fewer ppl and npc's involved

Well thats good for him, but has nothing to do with what I said so the quote from me is kinda redundant there ;) I was referring to where Brock said

I was pretty pleased with your attitude while I was reading this:
to be honest tho i go to umbra.. i know it is pvp.. if i get to dig in peace then great if i get nuked ...
But then it got to
by some 12 y/o kid
And saw that we were back to baseless (and incorrect) assumptions about other players *sigh*
