My impressions of Atys

I've gotta say that I've never played any game other than pre-CU SWG or pre-pub16 UO that has had me and my wife so engaged. My impressions so far:
The interface is great, though it could be a little more intuitive. One thing I liked about SWG was I could have an Experience monitor up showing how far I've progressed on the skill I was working on. I hate having to hit the a key every few minutes to see how close I am to leveling in fight or magic. Other than that the interface is very well done and smooth.
Graphics: I run a AMD64 4400+ 3gb RAM and a 256 Geforce 7800GT and with everything turned up the game runs smoothly (as well it should) and the graphics are bright and colorful, with the only hiccup I get is when I'm loading into the training island from the trainer hut. They sky is gorgeous, and the Thunder storms on the Tryker starter island are absolutely stunning. The only game I've played that had me looking at the sky more is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Customer service is excellent. Coming from SOE and Blizz games I'm used to pretty much being ignored when I submit a ticket or question. I was answered promptly and courtesly when I couldn't figure out how to turn off the mp3 player. Even though I closed the window it was still playing....Ohh the joys of being a noob. I'm not sure if Guides are player volunteers or paid CSR's but they rock.
Community: Seeing as the only time I left the starter island I was woefully unprepared and ended up re-rolling I haven't managed to meet many players, but those who're on the starter islands are very nice. Because of the differences in our play times, my wife has had more expierence with the community than I, and she raves at how much like her old SWG entertainer guild the community is.
Anyway, all I've gotta say is that Neverax has a great game on it's hands, and I hope to see it flourish, though if I understand correctly neverax is having financial difficulties at the moment.
See you all in Atys!
