How is it going to be possible to harvest at all in the Prime Roots now ?
There is no time display, no day or night cycles, no seasonal information, so trying to find out when sources are active is going to be extremely difficult, if not next to impossible. Add to this the extra aggro mobs on patrol .....

it will still be possible but Supreme will be made rarer as it needs to be, As it stands as the moment all materials apart from Supreme are worthless, A very eneded patch in my opinion.

what a shame the tryker never got to being able to enter roots.... should have gone matis but oh well

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, and as a prime root forager, supreme mats should be made VERY rare. The armor, weapon, whatever equipment made out of them should be getting the attention it deserves, to be something that you can really crave for. Before this patch, it was just a piece of equipment just like any, and no wonder: easy as hell to get. To furthermore enhance this whole rarity issue, surely the level required to prospect supreme should be a lot higher than the current 35.

But, no use of making it virtually impossible to extract/find, just that much harder so people appreciate the equipment, and the one who supplied them, a lot more. Where you draw the line is a different thing, but tuning down the prime root situation now definitely goes to the right direction.

Sorry but LVL 35 Prime Roots OMG. i'm a lvl70 Harvestor and as of yet found all most 0 Excelent mats. Trying to Harvest Q100 stuff and you get all most more Dp than Xp unless you are realy Lucky, and besides that there are less Than 10 people with Harvest skills more than mine, None has of yet found any Supreme mats.

Looks like you Guys have been having one hell of any Easy Ride.
And Again LVL 35!!! would not have made it into one of the outer Zones let alone to the Prime Roots.

My main point wasnt the fact of it being harder now, just that with timed sources there is no way of knowing when they will be active. I dont mind the resources being rare or often inaccessible, in fact i agree that this is a good thing. Its having them on a timer that we cannot get any information for that concerns me most.

Play will ahve to spend tiem and study them and figure out the apterns in which they are avaliable.

Level 35 in harvest in newbie island, after embarking from there went straight to the roots and stayed there. Found nothing else than supreme mats (well, couple of excellent spots too). That's the Abyss of Ichor for you. Then again, seems to be the case in every other root part that I've experienced, so no matter where you are it's an easy ride if you know what you're doing. Level 35 in forage really is the only thing needed to be there, and to come out there with bags full of supreme stuff (besides the prospect for supreme material, I used 50m deposit tracking to find the spots. That's all)

Getting to the roots has nothing to do with levels, as you really don't fight your way in there, you know Same when you travel to the other regions through the roots, just dodge, evade and more dodge.

If the timer in the roots is totally random then it could get a bit tricky, but I'm sure it won't be (as you need to gain that personal lore from spots and all, making stuff appear in random is dumb). If it has to do with seasons that's cool, as you can check that out yourself, but having those timers dependent on day/night cycles could be a bit odd, as there isn't suppose to be that in the roots.

All in all, when you know the spots you can just gamble and see if there's something there. Currently there are so many spots there with supreme stuff so at least one of them is bound to have resources, even with random timer My fix, however, would've been to make all supreme stuff appear in the middle of an aggro pack, or their travel route. Timer wouldn't be all that necessary.

Tryker land is a special situation. Which is NOT reflected by the other races. From Zora you can go to the nearest root entrance in 5 minutes without meeting any aggro and harvest superior blade mats there in a totally safe zone.
