This and that.

I'm feeling frustrated. The issue of content in this game, is a recurring one. I feel like redressing it.
The role out of new content since patch one, has felt so few and far between. There's only so much grinding and RP'ing one can do.
Out post's are boring, they don't offer much, there's no point being around them physically, and the rewards they give for owning them? XP Cats and Mats
I've always thought the whole XP Cat idea was a poor one, I got the impression the levels that some people had worked on way back when, were being undermined. Everyone is an avatar and master these days. Even still, to be honest I think everyone would still be maxed now anyway.
It's been so long since we've had something new to do, or work on.
I'd guess your probably digging and crafting regularly now, you probably like it alot.
Patch one was the best, it brought in actual content, like the mounts, chunks of stuff that was fun, the little things.
I want 20 new craft plans, 300 level cap, a new planet to explore, I want a new race to be discovered. I think it's the small things like new weapons, armour , bosses and such that is what should be produced for atys
I'm getting the feeling Spires will be like outposts, the bonuses they will provide will probably be underwhelming and after a short while people will be bored and not fight over them.
I really regret that the contenents were devided up into regions in the first place.
One big thing I've thought about over the past few months is the PvP issue and all things relating to it in Ryzom. I love the history, lore and everything to do with Kami Vs Karavan, it's a fantastic story, and has won an award because of that, but is this game really a PvP game?
I get the impression Homins of all races like exploring this gorgeous planet, and making shiny things with supremely good mats they looted by slaying rarely seen monsters in the depths of the prime roots. They like to protect the Planet from the ever poisenous Goo, and the ever apparent threat from the Kitin.
If you remember back to the time we were building our sanctuarys, Homins had organised peace, because they would rather focus their energys on gathering the materials faster, so their sanctuarys would be erected quicker. It was so bizarre to watch the sap field populated by both kami and karavan, the feeling that hundreds could die so easily, but homins were choosing to wield their picks instead of their weapons, it was hopeful and compelling.
This community makes this game what it is, we have a huge impact on the world and what happens, you proved that through nuetrality in a large number of Homins. Nevrax saw that Homins would not simply choose one side or the other, that some Homins weren't interested in fighting and they incorporated something that would address that issue.
I don't know, I just get the feeling Nev is miss guided. People don't honestly come to this game for the PvP do they? I came for the exploration, character progression and community.
I don't know what point in particular I'm trying to make to be honest. I'm not going anywhere, I'll be here to see things through, I just hope Nev are sure about the direction their choosing to take.
What are others opinions?
