Chapter 6 Min-Cho and The Black Circle

Prime Root was slowly returning to normal after the kittin herd had left the area. The creatures slowly returned to their daily lives but first they buried their fallen kin. It was a sight of joy, sorrow, and peace creatures burying their fallen kin.

“Windra where were you had us so worried, oh by the way this is Co’Ma’Sarn and her husband Co’Ma’Sean.” La’Beka said pointing at Co’Ma’Sarn and Co’Ma’Sean as they came closer to hear Windra’s tale.

“Hello, it’s a pleasure.” Windra said with a friendly hand shake as Co’Ma’Sarn and Co’Ma’Sean began to walk with Windra’s mount.

“Same here, but where were you?” The couple asked very eager to hear Windra’s tale as was everyone was else, even the Karavan got closer to Windra to hear his tale.

“Well I was floating in this void on nothingness with these banes of strange symbols spinning around me. I stayed like this what seem like days just starring at the banes spin around my body. My mind was blank, I felt paralyzed, I felt alone and incomplete. Then out of no where the banes wrapped around me almost crushing my very being. They wrapped around me like vines. When every last bane was spun tightly onto my skin they began to burn their way through my clothes until they reach my skin, there they became tattoos.” Windra said before he stopped to drink some water

“Ok the area is safe we’re close to the portal, we’re out of the danger zone so please continue Windra.” The Karavan escorts said as they scanned the area.

“Ok well I was just floating in that void, robe ripped and torn where the symbols burn through. Tattoos of symbols all over my body, I tried to move to think but I couldn’t do anything. I wanted to cry for help but I knew no one would hear me. After what seemed like ages I cried for help and a warm voice came from nowhere, it said

“Windra my child please forgive me for what I have done, but you must learn the powers of wind.”

A figure the came out of the darkness in front of me, it was a women, she quick grabbed hold of me and held me tight. She was crying she just kept saying I’m sorry and forgive, I felt like a child beheld by his mother. She had a warm glow that banished the darkness and a sweet voice. I felt like a child hugging his mother for comfort, and yet at the same time I felt my own mother holding me. I felt safe and loved all at the same time, she then said,

“Windra I’m going to return to your body you’ve learned enough, tell the other they must head to Min-Cho today. Goodbye Windra I’m sorry for what happened please forgive me it will become clear soon, just trust me.”

Then I woke up with Aqua hugging me so hard I couldn’t breathe.” Windra said finishing up his story.

“Windra I had that same dream, the night we were at the Silt camp resting up for this trip.” Aqua said in total shock.

“Aqua.” Windra replied.

Everyone stopped and fell silent, so silent that the sound of Prime Root was the only noise next to the mounts and packers. The group’s breathe were so quiet that it seemed like they weren’t breathing at all.

“Ok we need to get going or we won’t make it there in time.” Co’Ma’Sarn said as she continued on the trek. Her husband and the Karavan walked with her with the Trykers just behind them.

“They truly are the next generation of guardians aren’t? But why so young?” Co’Ma’Sean asked when the Trykers were examining a plant that shots exploding seeds.

“It’s what we feared for so long, a force is after the power of the Nexus Alter. The force proved to be to powerful for the protectors to handle so they returned the power of the elements to the new guardians.” The High Officer said with a heavy sigh.

“They’re after the power of dragon?” The couple said together.

“No, they have the power of great warriors and mages and they want the power of the guardians.” The Gunner said glance back at the innocent homins.

“To take their parents away like that, to force a great responsibility on such young Trykers it’s sick.” Co’Ma’Sarn said try not to yell.

“They may look young but each one of them has the power of the greatest homins flowing through them, they are almost gods and goddess.” The Officer replied.

“So that’s the power the darkness is after.” Co’Ma’Sarn said as she took off her helmet.
“Yes, wait Sir look!” The Gunner yelled point at a cavern only a few meters away from them.

“What is it?” Ga’Lorda asked calming down his spooked mount.

“Ah good a watering hole we’ll take a short rest here.” The Karavan Officers replied.

“What’s going on, Windra what are you doing?” Be’Cona asked seeing Windra in a group of Gunbani.

“It’s a watering hole we can take a short break here.” Co’Ma’Sean as he removed his helmet.

“Brother what are you doing with those Gunbani, they’re just getting a drink?” Aqua asked as she dismounted and walked over to the Gunbani watering hole.

“Oh brother will you ever grow up?” Aqua sighed.

“What is it sis?” Windra asked as he continued to rub his cheek against a very friendly Gunbani.

“Hehe what’s your brother doing?” Everyone laughed seeing Windra’s bandana move back and forth on a Gunbani’s side.

“Windra always did have a thing for fuzzy creatures he loves the feel of their fur against his face.” Aqua sighed as she shook her head.

Everyone else just cracked up laughing.

“Windra that Gunbani is shedding, you’re turning white.” La’Beka laughed almost falling off his mount.

“So he likes it and so do I, I love his fur.” Windra giggled only thinking of that Gunbani’s fur and nothing else.

“Where is Windra?” The Karavan escort asked the group

“Right here, why?” Windra said as he came around the herds looking like a white and gray Tryker Snow Homin.

“Windra!” La’Beka laughed when he saw Windra as did the rest of the group, Co’Ma’Sean, Co’Ma’Sarn and even the Karavan laughed.

“The good news is the gate to the jungle is very close, everyone mount, never mind.” The Karavan Officer said but when he asked them to mount the group already was.

Windra with a heavy heart gave his fuzzy friends one last hug goodbye before mounting. When he was mounted they set off for the portal to the jungle, everyone was cheerful but La’Beka he was beginning to wonder about this mission but he soon wiped it from his mind.

“Ok young ones you’ll be enter a whole new land with a whole new culture. First thing the Zorai are wise in the way of the spiritually art and are the extremely loyal to The Kami, that why the Kami gave them those masks.” The Karavan High Officer explained as the gate grew closer and closer.

“Mask?” The group asked at the same time.

“Aye masks, the Zorai are the most loyal homins the Kami have ever had so they granted them a gift for their trust and loyalty. It happened so long ago that I don’t think anyone still knows what a Zorai face likes without that mask.” Co’Ma’Sarn explained before she took a drink of water.

“Masks huh, well I guess everyone’s gotten something from great beings. Trykers learn the power of wind and gained the Karavan defense. The Matis gained knowledge about plants and the Karavans help defending the forest, wait what about the Fryos?” Windra asked before he took a deep breathe and then blew it out. It make a small whirlwind in the area, but the group didn’t notice. The couple, Aqua, and the Karavan escorts did tho but they said nothing.

“Everyone stop!” The Karavan gunner yelled.

Everyone halted and looked around to see what was wrong it was a group of Vorax and Varynx, sleeping in front of a cavern.

“Damn, we’ll fight them and lead them away from the cavern, when I yell go have your mounts and packers run like the wind and don’t stop till you get to the portal, there you know what to do.” Co’Ma’Sean said as he and Co’Ma’Sarn put on their helmets and pulled out their swords.

“It’s been a wonderful journey with all of you, here we say goodbye. Jena’s light is shining on all of you good luck may we meet again.” Co’Ma’Sarn, Co’Ma’Sean, and the Karavan escorts said with a bow of honor.

With that they ran right into a huge herd of two of the worst creatures on Atys. Co’Ma’Sarn snuck in and with her sword and dagger killed two Vorax on the spot. Co’Ma’Sean did a deadly sword spin and wiped out 5 of the sleeping creatures. When the Karavan fired their guns the herds awoke and attack. Co’Ma’Sarn and Co’Ma’Sean ran to the left with half the herds with them. The Karavan did the same bet to the right.

“Now go, go now!” Co’Ma’Sean boomed back at the grouped.

The mounts and packers shot off like bolts of lightning towards the cavern.

“Don’t die on us, I know we’ll meet again someday, farewell and Jena bless these five brave ones.” The grouped boomed back with tears in their eyes.

After a turn the portal came into sight. Without thinking they jumped off their mounts ran through the portal with the mounts and packers at their heels. The last sound they heard was the sound of a blade and a blaster the total silent. Moments later the sound of a heavy rain storm filled their ears.

They made it they were in the jungle but there wasn’t much to see, it was raining so hard that they could only see a few inches in front of them. Lucky for them they were under a ground made arch. Windra and Aqua took their magic gloves out of their belt bag and put them to cast a light orb.

“Weren’t we supposed to meet someone there?” La’Beka asked as the light of Aqua’s light orb light his face.

“Aye we were.” Windra and Ga’Lorda said at the same time.

“You mean us?” Three figures said as one of them cast a light orb.

“Yicks!” The group yelled as the jumped backwards, even the animals did.

“Hehehe sorry did we scary you, the name’s Jin’Vena’To Black Circle mage apprentice.

Jin’Vena’To was a young female Tryker with waving green hair and rose berry colored cheeks. She was dressed is red Tryker medium armor of the highest quality.

“I’m Dak’Cove Black Circle warrior.” A tall Matis with a bread that went all the way around his head and his emerald eyes were surrounded by purple blot tattoos.

He wore these strangest the Trykers had ever seen. His lower robe looked like several black leafs the size of a young Trykers were sown together. His boots, chest, gloves and shoulders, looked as if they were all made of the same leaves. The chest and sleeves were a bit puffy, but what really caught their attention were the jewels of some kind the covered this robe, every shape and color.

“First time to see a Matis I see, not worry you’ll learn more about them later but for now off to Min-Cho.” The Karavan Scout said from behind Jin’Vena’To and Dak’Cove, point up the turning ramp.

“Fair worrying this is a heavy rain so I’d but on a helmet or a hood.” Jin’Vena’To said with a slight giggles as Dak’Cove and her pull up their hoods.

La’Beka and Be’Cona changed into heavy armor with helmets while the rest stay in their normal robes they just pulled up their hoods.

With a quick change and covering of the animals they set off. When they walked out from under the arch their normal almost weightless robes became as heavy as heavy armor. The down pore was horrible on both the mounts and packers and on the homins, even the scout was suffering. The rain had turned grassless areas into mud pits, were Windra, being in his bare feet got stuck in one.

The group has no idea what the ground was like in front of them it so dark even with light orbs they could just barely see the trees. If it wasn’t for the scout they would be lost till the rain quit. Little did they know a dark figure was right behind them and it was ready to strike the guardians.

“Stop young one, not now you’ll be found and the Zorai with come in armies if they sense your attack.” A dark almost demonic whispered in her ear.

“Then what you should I do I’m sick of waiting!” The figure whispered back in a evil whisper like yell.

“The realm of the spirits, they will be going there soon, there you kill them, but beware Jena will be with them so I’ll summon so shadow seekers, they should help.” The voice whispered back before it faded away.

The figures just vanished into thin air then the voice was gone.

“I don’t understand my shockwave attack won’t touch these najabs!” Windra yelled as he tried to weaken the approaching najabs.

“These are jungle najabs, they are weak against this!” Dak’Cove yelled over the rain before a cast an orb of lighting around him. Within the orb he was forming a lighting ball in front of him.

“Hurry up my armor can only stand so many of these bloody things bites and tail whips.” Jin’Vena’To yelled blocking another tail whip with her long-blade sword.

“You’re mine!” La’Beka yelled as he ran forth with his sword in hand.

“Eat this you slimy beasts!” Be’Cona yelled as he pulled out this Boomer Rifle and shot at the Najab attacking Jin’Vena’To bringing it to its knee’s.

With one swift slice Jin’Vena’To killed the Najab and splashed a slimy fluid all over the ground before she jumped onto the Najab that was attacking La’Beka.

With a loud war cry Jin’Vena’To slammed her sword into the Najabs neck before it could shake her off.

“Jin’Vena’To hurry up and kill it, I can handle this last one but Be’Cona’s ammo to wet to work.” The Karavan Scout said as he shot at the last najab while Ga’Lorda and Sa’Binga rooted and blinded it.

“Huh oh sure here.” Jin’Vena’To said as she slip down the najabs back as it was about to stomp. The najab hit the ground hard as Jin’Vena’Tos sliding her sword now its back, but when it hit the ground she lost her grip and fell in the pond that was next to her.

“Well that was fun but where’s my sword.” Jin’Vena’To laughed as she walked out of pond drench completely. She walk over to the najab and yanked her sword out its tough muscle tissue, she then washed it in the rain and returned it to the sheath on her back.

“How much farther, if we stay out here much longer we’ll catch of death of a cold?” Aqua asked the scout as she became weak in the legs from all the run and healing.

“Scans show that we are in Kipee Mull and from where we are now just a calm walk across Kipee Mull field and we’ll be there.

“Good.” Everyone said as the coldness started to take affect on the group and the animals.

“Aqua is you ok?” Ga’Lorda asked see Aqua act a little strange.

“Yeah I’m fine just cold.” Aqua replied before she sneezed.

“Here sis hop on my back I still have enough energy to carry to Min-Cho, then we’ll take a nice long warm bath after a nice rest.” Windra said with a joyful grin and as he knelt so Aqua could rest on his back.

“Ok let’s get out of this rain before we all get sick.” The Karavan Scout said as he rechecked his wrist area scanner.

“Aye let’s go!” La’Beka yelled raising his sword into the air.

With a slight giggle everyone set off towards Min-Cho. With courage and strength burning with their souls not even the rain or the mud could stop them from reaching Min-Cho. Out of all of them Windra was the most amazing of all, it seemed like he just glided across the ground not evening touching it.

Even with their newly found courage and strength the rain didn’t let up. It was like someone was trying to stop them or possible test them. What ever the case they didn’t stop nor did the mounts and packers. Soon La’Beka began sneezing from the ice cold water this only made the group walk faster. As they pasted a small covering where a few yubos were sleeping, came the sounds of chanting, the smell of freshly cooked food, and the dim glow of town lights in the distance.

“Min-Cho finally, let’s hurry and get out of this rain!” Ga’Lorda cried as he sprinted for the town.

“Hey wait up!” Sa’Binga boomed after Ga’Lorda.

Don’t forget us!” La’Beka and Be’Cona yelled after the others.

Windra stayed with the scout, Jin’Vena’To and Dak’Cove. They didn’t talk to each other much for Aqua was asleep on Windra’s back.

“So you two are the Guardians of Wind and Water?” Dak’Cove asked as he wiped the water from his eyes.

“Aye we are but we don’t understand how to our powers, they just happen. Sometimes I wonder why us?” Windra said a slight sigh.

“Cheer up Windra you and your sister have a great power, you should be happy you’ve seen Jena and even felt her.” Jin’Vena’To said cheerfully trying to cheer up Windra.

“Yeah your right it’s just we were forced to leave some friends behind so they could save us, and I wonder if they’re ok?” Windra said with a smile trying to forget the bad and remember the good times.

“Wait how do you two know about us and what we’ve done?” Windra demanded realizing no one but the Karavan and the leaders of the races and such know about what we did.

“Well were Karavan and we need to know about of goddess doing.” Jin’Vena’To giggled as Windra’s demand.

Windra just blushed and this just made Jin’Vena’To laugh. Windra had his head turn to avoid Jin’Vena’To smile, little did he notice that he was only a few feet away from the city gates.

“Windra!” Jin’Vena’To and Dak’Cove yelled as Windra was about to walk into a guard.

“Huh gaw!” Windra yelled as he walked straight into a city guard.

“I’m so sorry, it’s was dark and my sister is ill, oh my so sorry.” Windra repeated again and again.

“It’s ok, you must be the Trykers here to, umm are ok?” The guard asked in a stern voice.

“What yeah I’m fine I just need to rest I have no energy left.” Windra replied kneeling on the ground from weak legs.

“There I’ll take Windra, Jin’Vena’To take Aqua, he’s falling asleep as we speak.” Dak’Cove told Jin’Vena’To as he gave the sleeping Aqua to Jin’Vena’To so he could carry Windra.

“Ok follow be I’ll show you to their sleeping chambers.” The scout said as he led to the way to their inn the others are already there.

“Take care all and enjoy your stay in Min-Cho.” The guard said as he waved goodbye to Jin’Vena’To, Dak’Cove, and the scout.
