The Return of the Shaman

Some of you may remember when the Matis Ambassador last visited Zora city.......

Homins who lined the square in Qai Lo to greet and in some cases insult the Matis Ambassador, were taken aback by the mysterious appearance of a strange Zorai shaman. This shaman raged at the Ambassador and condemned the talks shortly to take place in Zora.

Escorted by the requested entourage, the ambassador arrived safely at Zora Castle, but when he commenced speaking, chaos erupted, and he was taken hostage by a band of dissident terrorists.

They were however no match for the determined might of the assembled Zorai and Fyros who mounted several expeditions into dangerous, hostile terrain to rescue him from his unlawful prison. All seemed well, but for the reappearance of the strangely ragged shaman as the Ambassador made his speech of thanks. The Shaman threatened all sorts of terrible things none of which have yet come to pass, and seemed to vanish from the soil of Atys.

Now however homins of all races have reported sightings of the strange, mumbling figure dressed in tatters and mumbling vague threats and curses. Is this the return of the dreaded Oba?

Something really cool's about to happen methinks. We were ingame tonight when two of the guides began to "whisper" to each other in region chat about rumours circulating in the outlying villages about the Shamen having been spotted. They arranged to meet up in secret at a certain location so they could discuss what they had heard, so naturally, we all had to go and listen in (!). There were lots of cryptic comments about not wanting to alarm the homins and deciding who they should report their news to, but when we asked what was happening they told us we had to be on our guard at all times over the coming days. Eeeek, lol.

Keep up the good work guys, this got us all talking and was really good fun. Hope I get the chance to use my shiny new pike ;)

Over in the Matis Island the same occured, only we found the Shaman! Well...we found someone who had just started a char called Shaman and had no idea what was going on. I assume he got quite worried when our small team surrounded him on the outskirts of a town and began to interrogate him.

Anyways, we'll try to keep our eyes open, can't be too hard to spot a Zorai in Matis noobland, after all they are slightly slimmer than us... :P

Yes, it was me.
My in-game name is Shaman,
and I've been playing 1st open Beta with this name so yesterday evening I just created my 1st char as Shaman too. And in a few minutes later found a lot of brave warriors looking for a kind of Misterious Shaman in Matis noobland.. Little bit strange to see high-level chars in noobland, but no things to warry about. And theirs explanations are highly appreciated ;-)
Finally I understood, that I should read the topic on in-game events before start playing, but what U R normally do just after registration? Yes, creating your char to play.

Well while in Tryker a guide by the name of Flump came to FairHaven out of dire need to speak with Guide Theai. That is was of all importance, that he find her. Thus they met at the main gate to FairHaven, ther was much hushed whispering, but my mum raised me to be quite the listener.. :-) anyways, there was speak of OBA the shaman being found in the out lieing villages, and Flump and Theai were discussing if we should be warned.

Worried and grave expressions began to show on Theai's otherwise pristine face, this could only mean this OBA shaman guy was of grave concern and that is sightings again would bode ill will for us all.

At this time many of us had begin gatthering around, and with great concern for his brethen Flump told us that OBA had been sighted, rumors stating he was cursing homin's with strange mummblings... that we must be on the look out and on guard against the unknown. No attacks had been reported as of yet, and if we ever run accross this OBA then we are best advised to take heed of his words.

At this point memories of my mums cookies began to flitter in and how I would have to be sneaky in the shadows to pilfer a few for me young and growing tummy....

... Flump continued seemingly in great haste now, warning of a grave road a head of us while this OBA guy was about...

Well you can count me in, I've polished my wand and sharpened my blades.. most importantly my eyes and ears are toned for any thing that may happen.

This OBA guy has ill will against any of us, I'll have to show him what a few well placed shin kicks, like my ole mum, bless her soul, would always be telling me, ya gotta stand up and do what ya gotta do :)

We must not stand to be under his dark shadow!

It was a blustery matis afternoon, homins going about their daily routines......

Ragus howls, all but an echo as parties of homins removed them from town borders.......but.........the silence was to be broken....

The Shaman Oba appeared in the refugee islands of Matia in an attempt to dispel the courage of all homins in his wake...........

But his foolish bantering and empty threats were no match for the cunning and skill of the Matis People, one young and brave Homin located this fiend and like the wind of time, he was gone............

Is this the last of Oba............I think not...........
