Amp Power for afflictions

Can Nevrax please explain how the power on an Amplifier affects defensive afflcitions? I don't really care about offensive, but I am sure some might, so an explaination of that might go well too.

I know you're looking for an official response, and I would like one as well, but I have a part (or all) of the answer for sure.
The power stat on amps for afflictions decreases the sap drain cost associated with holding a link. Use the "Active Links" window and it will show you exactly the sap drain per tick for the link, and the difference between with amps, no amps, or different power amps is visible.
It may do more- but my experience says no...
I believe elemental power does the same thing when using DoT? Doesn't increase the power but decreases the sap drain.

Not quite - it doesn't increase the power nor decrease the sap drain.
Elemental power has no effect at all on DoT as far as I know.
