Maybe some of you are wondering what's happening on the ATS since it's been closed back in January.

One question (broken into little questions ):

since everyone on any shard can theroretically get into the same instance, how will cross server trading be managed? Are we allowed to use exchange windows in the instances or are they removed? If they remain, will there be an "official trading zone"? if so what is the maximum amount of people one instance can accomodate at one time?

addition of vendors, forum "official trade zone bazaar" section?

In the Giga TV interview with Jessica, she stated something to the effect that items acquired in a (non-God blessed) Ring instance would not pass back into the game world.

Now I do not know how that bodes for trading, as these things are not created in the instance, but brought in.

My 2 cents is inter-shard trading = VERY BAD. Things that are a commodity to use may not be a commodity to them and vice versa. Imagine how upset people like Spriteh would be that people could buy a Sirgio Armor Set for 10 million mats.

A team that farms Aen on Aniro could make a fortune selling that to Arispotle players.

Doesn't seem right to me, if you do that you are creating a crazy economic equation.

What I like is the idea to be able to create characters on the other shards.
Do we will see Acridiel roaming on Arispotle?

Will it be possible to move a char from server to server. I.E log into the french server. If and when we wanted?

This code includes a change of both hardware and software architecture: we want to connect the 3 shards so that anyone playing on any of the 3 shards could meet in a same Ring scenario. This will also allow one to choose on which shard to play directly when creating a new character.

As I read it, it will be possible, to create characters specific for a given shard, but not to transfer a character to another shard.

Keep the questions coming and I'll get some answers for you during the next few days

Yeah i read it that way too. Just thought it'd be cool if Tyilin could port in and out of different shards. but i guess, i could re-create a WHOLE atys with R2 (or is there a size limit?) and make it open to all shards

so now that we finally have the Ring coming out - what kinds of programs will we be able to use WITH the ring? i mean will it be ONLY ring program and the features it contains - or could we make our own textures/buildings *eyes light up again as he dreams of possiblities with photohop/ring combination*
