I too am an SWG refugee. I have actually had my eye on Saga of Ryzom for some time. I was misinformed by someone who advised me against getting the game months ago. I used to play SWG as well (started at launch) and I cancelled my SOE pass and all five of the games that I played on it when they decided to destroy the game with the NGE. I thought "What the heck!" and decided to give it a try. So this Evening I finally started my 7 day trial acount and downloaded/installed. I am amazed at what I have seen so far! I have only tried a couple hours so far, but I am beyond pleased with I have already experienced. I really don't know what to say. I am stunned. I only wish I had tried it sooner. I still have one other MMO (WoW) and I am waiting for Huxley (for my MMO FPS tactical fix to replace Planetside), but I must say this is the greatest find I have happened upon in a long time!

If there were such a guild, I think the tagline would have to be, "You have never seen such a hive of scum and n00bery ... we must be cautious." After all, it's only been 4 months since SWG was turned on its head...

Anyway, welcome to Atys! Did you do much crafting in SWG? This game seems to appeal to those that did (and I'm one of them)

Now that's actually a good idea. A guild of SWG refugees would be a great theme. Although I am far too much of an ROS newb to get one started. Maybe after a few weeks/months? For now I just need to get to know the game. Any tips would be appreciated.
