i've been reading that post, found the IC part quite interressting, very appropriate to the general mood and all, nice to see some people RPing a bit, can only help bearing the heavy PvP that is currently going on

the OOC comment imo has nothing to do in the Saga Forum, plus it is just demonstrating that once again RP is used to justify your OOC concern, which is definitly not the purpose of RP


IC, i mean when playing, i can accept to be killed in Yrkanis by a religious fanatic, who is spreading bad word over Kami, accusing them of all the troubles over Atys, only contemplating his navel (huh only Karavaneer in Yrk are killed ?) , using an easy Propangada about innocent children, innocent crafter being killed (so innocent ? i thought having a flag was "provoking", uh sry that only apply to Kamist) , i can witness some mad homins answering isolated Violence by massive violence, trying to enforce rules on other people instead of proposing a fair rule (everybody get rid of his tag in Yrk, maybe ?), denying the right of a Matis citizen to chose his own religion, closing down their borders, killing on sight any homin who do not share their religious point of view....i'll stop here the list is too long...
to sum up, all that, i can RP it and accept it and have fun living it, probably because i'm optimistic and i still believe that many other homin will be wise enough not to follow that ludicrous law , yield by a single loony homin.


But i definitly can't have fun playing it if i'm aware u "took these measures" OOC , if it's done because u think OOC that it is the right way of proceeding , I *****auto censored, i'm not playing to do politics, i'm just here to have fun IC , so i won't explain u here why i don't like it, but for me it's obvious that such a solution applied IRL can only lead to a disaster*****


i can't prevent people using IC to serve their own OOC purpose, i don't care of what they believe would IRL be a good solution (if i wanted to know, i would read the general forum), i can't prevent them ganking me for OOC beliefs, i just don't want to know it's OOC coz it's sooooooooo lame, so please just stop spoiling the fun of those that have chosen to stop reading the General forum because of the general arrogance going on there, spare people who don't want to see the "so great" community slowly turning into mud and respect the Saga forum !!


So i suggest that in case you have such a highly debatable OOC statement (i'm talking about an OOC comment that could be argue over ofc not an innocent OOC statement), maybe u can just post the IC part in the saga Forum, then start an other thread in the General forum that link to the IC post and express your glorious OOC feeling there.

I can only agree with you Uma. I actualy have given up on that thread due to getting OOC responses to my blatantly IC comments. Or mixed IC and OOC responses, which only confuses the heck outta me.

Keep the IC areas IC. It's very frustrating to get OOC replies to IC comments and really ruins the mood.

Unbelievable. We try to add a layer of RP around real game play issues and we're poisoning things?!

I guess the only valid RP is made up stuff that never really occured and has no impact on real game play? Nothing against those events, but why is there such hostility to RP that actually affects game play and was inspired by game play?

Personally I think IC should be for all posts because there's no distinction between you or your toon.

OOC is for specifically discussing game mechanics.

ohnoes, ooc comments in RP areas How about these then? Plenty by people who are "RPers", including yourself and other members of your guild... yet this is the first time its been brought up.

For the record, the OOC comments in that thread were to clarify things and hopefully avoid misunderstandings. For example, if it had just been left as at "unarmed" then people may assume it meant what they had equipped and not even considered their FvF tags.

She's complaining about all the OOC nonsense doesn't need to be interspersed with that very good RP thread/ongoing event which people from both sides are loving IC.

I apologize that my message contained both and IC and OOC part. But I have to stress that the OOC part was my opinion to the OOC part of the original post and other OOC answers in the thread.

You re-read it. She focused almost entirely on the fact that DT's original post had an OOC motivation behind it. That was the only thing she quoted and she went on and on about it.

In fact, I don't see any significant references to OOC comments other than the original poster's.
