point me in right direction if theres a link i am missing..
i was a profile i can stick a line into...

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.. you should see a drop-down menu called "Forum jump" there. Inside of that menu, scroll up to the top, where you will see links to the control panel, the forum search and more.
I admit this can be a bit confusing. No promises, but I'll check with the forum admin guys to see if we can place some more visible buttons somewhere for these things.
