been playin for about 2 days and im kinda fuzzy on the whole aim skill for fighting. what does aiming for the head/hand/leg/etc do? doesnt really say much other than it depends on what weapon u use.

sorry if its been mentioned before. its a cool game so far, different i must say. though some of the descriptions for skills and missions r vague

The aim stanzas will make you aim for a certain body part. This is especially handy for PvP, if you encounter someone without a helmet, you can aim for the head. Also, if you have a critical strike, the effect depends on what body part you hit. Using an aim stanza can help you get a certain effect when you get a critical hit. They are as follows:

Head: Stun.
Chest: Lose an amount of stamina equal to 50% of the HP damage done.
Hands: Decrease combat skill by 20 levels. (hit chances and parry)
Arms: Slow attacks.
Legs: Slow movement.
Feet: Decrease dodge by 20 levels.

The chest shot only works in PvP as the environmetal entities (read animals and NPC's and such) do not have a stamina pool. I think this was in a Q&A from the devs.

Noin.

Also note that an aim stanza does nothing UNLESS you get a critical hit, thats when the bonus kicks in. You can and will hit only the spot you "aim" for using it, but you must decide if using the extra stam/hp is worth the infrequent critical hit.

could always buy the attack after a crital credit and use it with it and have a separate action with it

Sorry silverkl, that made no sense to me. Can you be more elaborate with it?

Not entierly true. It does hit 1 specific bodypart more often. For PvE this doesn't matter so much I imagen because as far as I know all the armour on the crittins is the same. I haven't tested if crittens do have it different tho, so I can't be sure. In PvP it's different, you might even opt to take the aim, to hit a mages head, instead of the nifty medium armour, or superbly crafted light armour. Or you suddenly notice that you hit that annoying warrior for alot more on his legs then on the rest of him. But they are expensive to use, and using them is very diffecult to say the least.

Yes this is quite a good way to pay for Aim, but I'd suggest using Attack after Dodge/Parry first since you probably Dodge/Parry more often than you Critical. Like DT says, though, the cost of using the Aim stanza is really difficult to justify.
