Homins, i bring you tidings from the Imperial Court!

"It is with regret that Emperor Dexton of the Fyrosian Empire announces that Senator Aqui has died and passed into the keeping of Ma-Duk. Senator Aqui served in the Fyrosian senate for many years and was a trusted advisor to the Emperor.

His Senatorial seat is now open but there are two homin with equal claims to the position and the Imperial Court is deadlocked as to who is the rightful caretaker of this responsibility. As such an extraordinary step must be taken. A public plebescite, a vote, shall be taken from amongst the common people of Fyros to determine which of the two candidates is deemed most worthy to take up the Senatorial position at court.

The responsibility will weigh heavily upon the common Fyrosian citizen, unused as they are to political life and structure. The Emperor trusts they will choose wisely. In the meantime both potential Senators shall wear the title. Such is the Emperor’s Will."

Will there be a public debate as to why one homin should have this seat in comparason to the other? Or should we seek these homins out?

Can only fyrosians vote? I am a Zorai, but i spend most of my time digging in the Desert. If the Courts are to be changed with each different Senator then it would affect all homins, not just the brave Fyros.

Are we to know the names of these homins?

Thank-you

Tyilin

xx

Well i presume just Fyros citizens, they are the ones who have sworn loyalty to the Empire so have the right to this vote, be a bit daft for any to vote, as its not their government, regardless of if you happen to live there.

A better question perhaps instead of asking who gets to vote, is who is there to vote for. Some introduction of both eligable parties would be nice, not to mention some explination of the role in the Senate the guy is going to take.
Oh and maybe include some of the arguments why there is a deadlock over the two parties. And perhaps some NAMES!
Just a wee bit more detail would be nice, instead of "We have two persons. Here they are, make your pick, you have 5 minutes to decide. Thanks, byebye."

I agree as as citizen of Fyros there should be more details as to who we are voting for. Have the two candidates make a speach here or have a debate in the Palace where citizens can ask them questions.

OOC: And please organize this better than the fashion ball, although it was fun getting insulted by the judges it dragged for too long, and really those judges had no fashion sence at all. They were as common as a Yubo and they had the nerv to critic while they themselves were dress like common help. My servent Ringneck dressed better than they did. :D And can you give me the address of that nasty ill temper one, I have a rock with his name that I'd like to deliver. :p

Vote wisely my Fyros friends, as the impact of your decisions will ripple throughout Atys. I have full faith in the Fyros majority to make the right decision.

May Ma-Duk guide your hearts,

Liquado

Voting? o.O
I always thought the senators in Fyros were chosen from the last one standing after beating each other heads with clubs...

Mmm... maybe I should learn more about this voting system they have...

Homins! The following information has come to our attention:

The two candidates for the Imperial Senatorial seat, Senator Xalis and Senator Dios, will be available to set out their positions in speeches to the Fyros people. Time willing the candidates may be able to field questions from the people.

Those eligible to vote on the final polling day will be those of sufficient Fyros bloodline and those of Fyros citizenship.

The candidates will be available at the Pyr Stage in Agora tonight (14th Feb) at 8pm and at 2am GMT/3pm and 9 pm EST.

I truely hope the poeple of Fryos are wise - I fear some results may cause unrest or open agression to peace loving neighbours, vote wisely.

War only profits those who want power, and not always even then :)

Sofi, Neutral - Matis :)
