Chapter 2 The Pendants

“Wake up young ones your need in the grand hall.” The maid said popping into their rooms.

“Why does my head hurt so much?” La’Beka asked rubbing his head.

“You drank enough Berry Wine to knock a Gnoof out.” Windra laughed as he walked by La’Beka’s room.

“Where is everyone Sa’Binga and Ga’Lorda are already in the hall, so hurry up.” Windra said while he tied his cap and adjusted his goggle.

La”Beka cast a light healing spell on his head to stop the pain. He then quickly fixed his hair and ran for the portal and ran into the hall, luckily some of the master hadn’t arrived.

“I miss anything?” La’Beka asked sitting down next to the others.

“No the masters are still collecting the last of items needed for our trip.” Ce’Cona responed.

Slowly one by one the masters arrived and took their seats.

“Well now I guess its time we explain your first step.” The Master of Craft said to the group.

“Your mounts and packers are already at the Silt camp and to get you there quickly you are going to use the Karavan’s teleport system, its still in testing but they promise us it’s safe.” Wlyer said with a grin.

“These are very simple to use, first open the case just lift the flap. Next pull out the card within it and raise above your head and call out “Karavan Teleport”, just stand still and pop your there.” Ma’Darrel said with a grin as he laid out six purple flat metal cases.

“You will venture into Prime Root, a deadly place where those beasts roam free, so stay close to each other and don’t venture.” Wlyer said almost cursing at the word beast, everyone knew what he meant, the kittin.

“Well does anyone else have something to say before they port to Winds of Muse?” Ma’Darrel asked glancing at everyone.

“I do.” The local Jena priestess said walking into the Grand Hall.

Everyone quick turned to see a Tyker woman in a Karavan robe. She had sand gold hair with a ponytail done with a pin. She had a blue symbol tattoo on her forehead; it was the sign of love.

“I’m looking for Windra and Aqua where might I find them or have they left already?” The priestess asked looking around the hall.

“I’m sorry priestess they are about to leave for the Silt camp.” Ma’Darrel said standing up to greet the priestess.

“It will only a second, this is very important, I’ll wait over here till your done sorry for interrupting.” The priestess said bowing and walking over to the corner near the door.

“It alright, everyone come and take your ticket and we’ll meet you at the hill to see all of you off, as I’m sure all of FairHaven does.” Ma’Darrel said as everyone stood up.

The group walked up and shook their master’s hands and took their tickets, surprisingly they were very light weight for mental packs. Windra flip his back and forth examining it as did Aqua and Be’Cona, the other had already left to meet their friends before they left.
When only Ma’Darrel, Wyler, Aqua and Windra were left the priestess walked to the center of the room and held out two pendants.

“That’s my mothers and that’s my fathers, what are you doing with them?” Windra and Aqua yelled as they snatched their parent’s pendants.

“Calm down, they’re gifts from your parents it was in their will, here listen.” The priestess said as she pulled out an amber cube.

“Dear Windra and Aqua if you are reading this it means we are with Jena. We knew this would be are fait. Your friends Le’Beka, Be’Cona, Ga’Lorda , and Sa’Binga we knew and fought with their parents. You are all reincarnations of six great warrior and it is your destiny to reunite the races, you will learn of who you all were later, for now take our pendants as gifts, they will help you when the time is right.” The priestess stopped reading.

“Well go on please read on why did they leaved us!” Windra and Aqua cry kneeing on the floor crying, tears slashing against the rug.

“I can’t finish their will you’re not ready, please don’t cry your parents raised you better I know, I knew them.” The priestess said hugging the two.

“They’re always with you, remember what they said, “We will always be with you in the wind, when you feel the wind wrap around you it’s us.” Now go join your friends, its time to leave, and remember they will always be with you.” The priestess said walking them to the door.

When they exited the tower the street was filled with Trykers who were cheering and waving to Windra and Aqua as they walked to the hill where the others waiting. The sun was high and the breeze was cool. The lakes sparkled like gems in the sun, the smell of fresh rushing water filled the air. The lamps were lit with flames of red, blue and green. The colors swirled around each other like a cyclone of leaves in the wind, and a light crackle came from the flames.

The day was wonderful the palm tree cast shadows on the warms sand. Trykers of very age and gender were everywhere. Young ones were on their parents shoulders and some Trykers were on the roof of the stable casting bomb spells into the air which exploded in all kinds of shapes. Some were flower of red and blue other were creatures like yubos and one was even the Tryker symbol. The sky was filled with colors of every kind as Windra and Aqua walked towards the other who were in the shadow of two palm tree which were making an arch.

As Windra stepped onto the sands he drug his feet into the sands. The warm feeling of the sand sent a wave of warmth up his spine, he loved it deeply. Aqua on the other hand just liked making waves of sand with her foot and unlike her brother she wore boots.

“Well I guess it’s time to say farewell young ones you will be missed, but an alliance must be made and you’re the best ones for the job, before you call on the Karavan we have a farewell gift for you.” Ma’Darrel said waving at the group.

Seconds later the sky turn dark and everyone fell silent. Then with a huge explosion of light the symbol of the Trykers stretched across the. Vines of swirling colored magic ripped and glided across each other to form the circle and the banes of the symbols. The banes twisted, spun, wove, and pass through each forming the symbol. It was like someone was weaving the symbol into the sky above.

“Thank you all we will miss you, farewell for now but don’t worry we’ll be back soon, Karavan Teleport” The group yelled over the magic spells and cheers of FairHaven.

I green light shot down from the sky and cover Be’Cona. Slowly Be’Cona vanished within the green light and then was gone completely. This process happened to the group one by one till everyone was gone. As they were being teleported to Wind of Muse they saw nothing but black and white little sparks like stars yet they could feel the land changing around them. Then they were blinded by a bright light to which they covered their eyes.

“Welcome to Winds of Muse home of the legendary Silt Sculptors, you must be the Trykers here to reunite the races.” The Karavan Welcomer said in warm voice.

“Aye we’re looking for the Silt camp where can we find it? La’Beka said gazing arcoss the lake.

“Over across the lake, it’s a short swim but be careful Ragus and Clopper drink from this lake and they like to rest of the shore. When you get to shore continue to walk forward till you reach the cliff wall, then walk towards your right and you’ll find the camp. It’s nestled in the corner.” The Karavan Welcomer said point across the lake.

“Thank you.” The group said with a bow and walked to the shore, then into the water.

The water was fresh, warm and clear as a crystal. A breeze blew across the lake covering it in silky red and green petals from bushes that had just bloomed on the eastern bank. Being master swimmer the swim was like a walk around FairHaven. When they were halfway the lake light up like a lamp. The sun was now over the lake, which now shined like a heal orb.

“It’ like we’re swimming in a crystal, hey where’s Windra?” Aqua asked noticing her brother wasn’t next to her.

Everyone stopped and looked around for Windra but he was nowhere to be seen. Until Ga’Lorda saw a sparkle of light coming from the bottom the lake, it was Windra he was at the bottom of the lake looking for something. Aqua quick went under, here bracelets moving around as she went deeper. When she reached her brother she tapped him on his shoulder. He quick spun around and pointed to waist where he held a few bags of medicine and drappers. One was missing it was the one that contained their parent’s pendants.

See the shocked look on her face Windra pointed upwards at the others, meaning get the other we need their help. Aqua swam up as quickly as she could she would not lose those pedants not on her life.

“Everyone get your butts now there now, we lost our family pendants!” Aqua yelled gasping for air then going back down.

Without another word everyone else followed Aqua towards the bottom of the lake. While she swam down Aqua began to wonder “How is my brother breathing and how come I can swim like a fish?” She wondered these questions till she reached her brother. When everyone was at the bottom they started searching for a teal colored silk bag, but to no luck. After several minutes of searching everyone went up for air but Windra still strangle stayed under.

“I can feel its aura but where is it?” Windra thought to himself feeling around for the silk bag. But it was hard through all the seaweed, gravel, and plants.

“Found it, wait where is my pendent, I put in this bag, did it fall out?” Windra wondered but then he felt a warm glow on his chest.

“What the my pendent I’m wearing it, but how I never put it on?” Windra wonder running his hand over it then he felt wind shield around the crystal.

He quickly ran his hand over Aqua’s, the same thing but the shield was water. Windra had so many thoughts going through his mind he didn’t notice that he was being pulled up towards the surface of the water.

“Windra are you trying to kill yourself, how did you last so long!” La’Beka yelled shaking some sense into Windra.

Lets just get to the Silt camp, we’ll talk there.

Windra said nothing as they swam toward the shore he just kept feeling his father’s pendant. When he reach the shore Windra just stood there, he began to faze out. The rattle sound of the Stinga, the grunts of the Gnoof and the clicking of the Cloppers became fainter and fainter as the world spun around him. The colors were swirling together till they were pitch black. When the world stopped spinning everything was gone darkness was everywhere, there was no light, and no land, Windra was just floating in a void of nothing, and then came whispers.

“You’re the one Windra.”

“You’re just like your father.”

“The pendant will stay on you forever and it will protect you.”

“Just as it did for me.”

“Father, Mom?!” Windra yelled around looking for his parents

Windra where am I?” Aqua screamed just behind Windra

“Aqua your pendant, its on you!” Windra said shocked pointing at the pendant around Aqua’s neck.

“The power of love and Jena keeps them together.”

“Windra where are we, why do I hear our parents and other homins?” Aqua cried grabbing on to her brother for support.

Just as they touch so did the pendants. With this a huge light burst from the pendants and blinded the two. The light spread quickly and soon the darkness was gone, but there was still nothing there.

“Good bye my children you’re in the hands of Jena now”

Before they could even breathe they were back with the other who were starring at them.

“What happened to you two you were gone one second and back the next?” Sa’Binga asked.

“Nothing umm look we’re drenched and the Silt camp isn’t far so let’s go.” Windra and Aqua said getting a head start but the other were close behind.

“Hey wait up this isn’t a race, what the?!” La’Beka yelled but he soon saw there was no water marks from where Aqua and Windra stood. It didn’t make any sense water was still dripping from his ponytail as well as his robe. Everyone was still dripping wet, everyone but those two, where did they go.

“Come on La’Beka or do you want to be left behind.” Ga’Lorda yelled back at La’Beka

La’Beka started to run at this to catch up, but he still wondered

Drakfot it feels like you are the only one who understands my tale. The wisdom, the love, the pain, all of this my family went through, you see it but it seems others dont.

It's the same for me with your tales. Its hard to explain but it seems we share the same mind. Maybe its just tho, but who knows.

Thank you my friend,
As long as there is one that listens, a tale is never told in vain.
And tales do not need to be fully understood for everyone to
enjoy them, tales and mysteries can go hand in hand.
Perhaps see it as a mirror where the one that listens
sees a reflection of oneself.

Please continue your fine writings my friend.
