Unbalanced classes

SoR claims it has lot of different classes but in the end ppl just use nuker and healer as main class ( just cause nuker needs healer i think ), and a few others. Ppl just lvl warrior skill to get hp for caster class.

A warrior is not even good for tanking big mobs like bosses. Its better not to use them so that servants of the boss dont attack. Its just bomb healing all the time and in that way there is no real difference.

Also there is any advantage for a warrior to lvl caster trees? i dont get anything getting more sap.

Also a warrior have close combat and range trees that are completely useless

A warrior can never kill a nuker if the nuker is very far cause the nuker just flee if he doesnt kill the warrior in time.

A warrior must spend more money/mats in items cause actually he needs a good heavy armor, and for a nuker is not so important a LA. Also we need to buy really good jewelry to have a chance and a shield if we use 1h or dagger.

With OP mats and tools we get a pathetic 5% to critical hit or vampirism when a nuker get even +16% to dmg and speed of their amps and even a 20% chance of instant spell which is actually a 20% more dmg of average. A nuker can deal even 3k, and a warrior about 1.3 so that % is not the same for both.

Also we need to increase several trees of warrior to be able to deal dmg to many creatures that have resistances. Some even have 80% resistance to all types of physical dmg, but no creature have 80% to all magical dmg. Creatures have some magical resistances but as nukers can choose the type of spell they dont have any problem. Even in events they just put kiputckas which resists all physical dmg to 80%.

Also for traveling in Atys or digging in PR they just can attack in the distance and in that way they almost never get any add. A warrior has a very short taunt that makes that usually we get some add in the end.

I wonder if they try to make the game unbalanced intentionally to make happy the players that stay in SoR which mostly like being nukers. If it is like that i would like to know so that i could go to other game.

some good points but i tend to disagree about melee vrs ele, even from 50m anyone with resist jewels in melee gear will kill the ele 9 times out of 10, tested it alot of times, even at lvl 220 axe when i tried i wud win.
Melee tree gives ton more HP than if you relied on ele which is always usful. and as for using melee to go around its far better, find me an elementalist that can solo great kinchers using no power ups ?
theres alot of benifts to melee but yes it lvls slower and more people lean towards elemental, personally i think its well worth doing both

You are right that a ubber warrior vs a ubber nuker i think warrior would win in a duel just if the nuker dont flee, but when happens that ??? That is almost no part of game.

Also who solo at high lvls ?? almost noone if they can, and if they do it it will be real slow. So other point useless even if warriors were better soloing, something i dont think so.

So you dont ever go walk about? You can honestly say you dont explore, check bosses, find new Tps? Melee is idea for those situations.
No melee isnt an everyday usefull thing but its slowly getting there, being 250 melee a few months ago was tottaly worthless, now it has its uses but HA bulk needs decreasing, and taunt needs increasing in range (30m+) another idea would be to decrease penalty?

nah i'm fine with it. my skill of choice is 1h sword and i dont have any problems. If you are digging in wastelands it makes no difference what skill u are good at, u need to run if u get aggro.

There is always an optimal character build in any game, so what? people should play with what they enjoy not what is perceived as best. and with my under lv200 1h sword skill i can generally win in a duel with an AoD so its not that useless :)

The critical and vamp weapons are actually really useful as well, so i dont feel short-changed there either.

melee had a huge boost recently, for me I even stopped using elemental for a long time, a good example and probably the most popular is 2hand axes, kitted out right you can wipe the floor with an AoD. I was laughing my head off recently when in a duel my opponent cast on me and hit me for 227dmg x 2 and within that space of time I had closed the gap and smacked him a few times till he was dead.

and kye right about great kinchers, hell I wouldnt tank in LA against 1, bosses the same, you can use melee you just gotta be clever about it (not in all cases tho)

as for range being useless, tell that to someone over 200 in launcher, 1600dmg @ 60mtrs with a 25mtr splash damage, see that group of players grouping up for bomb heals in light armour.............uhm boom

every class has its uses, some more than others true, the beauty of this game is you can be all of them classes not just 1

First you need to use lot of 200+ ql mats just for ammo, and it depletes, mainly in a OP fight that lasts a lot. Besides you forgot to say that hit rate of a launcher can be 12 as max i think and a nuker has about 3.2 sec of cast duration which is 18.75 hit rate per minute, but actually amps give 100% to speed so it would be 37.5 , so about x3 speed of a launcher. A nuker can cast about 8k dmg ( divided vs all ppl there, something that i think doesnt happen with launchers, but not sure ) in area of high radius as well though no so high. Launchers dont need healers as much as nukers, so maybe launchers are a bit better for OP fights ( just if ammo doesnt deplete ) when LOTS of ppl are very near one of each other, but just for that and you need to spend endless mats to reach 250 lvl. You need double of time to reach 250 and spend lot of mats that in the end its a lot of resources that you could use to buy really good mats ( mainly 250 mats ). I am not going to spend so much time just to be a bit better than nukers in just OP fights which only happen rarely.

Also, Kye, a warrior and a nuker both can travel around but you are safer using a nuker cause you can kill mobs in the distance and not getting adds.

Its true that all games i played are heavily unbalanced and i dont know why warriors use to be crap always ( i.e. EQ ). It is very nasty to play lot of hours to realize that truly your char is almost no useful.

Also Rushin tell me how a 5% of special effect can be useful. Well it is useful 5% of the time, just that.
