Just curious to see how others would act in this situation.

Here is the scenario: PVP TAGS ARE ON.

You are harvesting in GoC and get nuked by a rival faction; no problems here right? Now let say you find that person leading a hunt group that just wiped on their own. Would you rez that person after being ganked by him? Knowing the fact that you will be nuked by that person again. (I'm on his KOS)
This is where it gets tricky. Mixed in the hunt group are people of your own faction. Rez them, they'll rez your enemy, then you get nuked.

Now remember, you were just ganked in focus gear swinging your pick.
I'm curious to see how others would have handle this situation.

My choice was: No resurrections! Inflict damage on enemy when possible and sorry for the collateral hits.

Heavanor
Archmage
Infinity

i would rez the team.

the actions of 1 individual ganking you in pr may be petty but you don't get dp beigng killed pvp.. you just need to spend a few dappers on a new tp.

compare that to getting dp while hunting because you have refused to rez and things become alot more serious and grudges can form.. this coudl open yourself up to more ganking in the future.

if you get ganked and take it on the chin then you will be seen by the comunity as an honourble homin.. if you stoop to the lvl of refusing to rez cos somone incovinianced you in the past this is just as pety and you would not receive mine, nor many others, sympathy.

To be honest, I don't know what I would have done since i've never been in that situation.

I would like to think I would have rezed the team, but as I say I can't be sure if I would have or not :) .

I would have rezed the whole team.

But I also wonder, why would anyone want to dig with pvp-enabled (and in the land of the opposing faction, no less) and NOT expect to be nuked if both guilds hate each other? If anything, it's almost like going into the pvp zones in PR. If you put yourself in that position, be ready for any consequence. If ya activate PVP, you pretty much know you may be nuked anywhere, despite what you may be doing. If you really want to dig in peace, disable pvp. By enabling the pvp-tag, one pretty much implies: "Go ahead and nuke me...I pretty much give the ok".

I dont have a PvP tag so I could be wrong here, but I didnt think you could heal rival tagged people.. anyway, res the team, let them res your enemy, and if he kills you this day then it should cost him the respect of his teammates. So he ends up losing more than you do, if he fails to act with honor.

First off, if it was a real enemy (I know Kami ppl who nuke me for fun and res me when I'm in Yrk) I'd res all his teammatesfirst... if they res him, and he starts nuking... take the hit, get ressed by his teammates. Repeat as needed. When he's almost out of HP from casting, nuke him back, and if you see him cast, pop a magic aura. He's down, his teammates cant res him, and you show him a thing or two about tactics. Tell his teammates they're not getting a res next time your enemy is with them, and go back to digging in peace.

If it's just a friend (see above statement), tell him he's a noob who picked the wrong faction and res them all. You won't get nuked more than once (for calling him a noob). Let him or his teammates res you, snicker cause ha has a 5 minute pvp timer that hinders his hunt, and go back to digging in peace.

if they got wiped by mobs i would do the good deed of rezing them and killing them, no DP but you dont have the risk of being ganked, in a mixed team more complex rez them all, its not your problem if they attack back, infact at least they show their true colours to their group

My thgoughts:

Go over and explain to them that you just got drilled whilst digging peacefully. Explain that you simply can not rez the person that just hit you... but as soon as that person spawns you'd be happy to rez the rest of the team. Then it becomes that person's DP vs that person's DP and the rest of the group's DP... and that person who... like a coward... hit you while digging gets to make the choice about his friend's DP instead of you.

To this:

I for one happen to be very proud of being Kami... I wear my tag 99% of the time.... the only exception being the day before / of outpost battles because of the drop team bug... and not being sure if i'll log-in in time to shut it off the next day. Moreover.... if the guilds hate each other... why should the person who got hit while digging rez the other person anyways? Hate... to me... is a very emotionally intense word with a lot of baggage attached.

I stand by my previous.... let the pansy who was afraid to walk up to you and say "you have 20 seconds to port before i drop you" knowing full well you are in focus gear make the call on his friend's DP... instead of you.

My 2 cents,

Bri has a good method. I like it.

I am with a few others. I think I would rez anyways.

@Bri, wearing your tag is not about being proud of supporting your faction, it is about being ready for PvP at anytime, and proudly proclaiming that if you get smacked, you may just give it back one day.

I am very proud to be a Karavaneer, but don't particularly like PvP without a purpose. I hope that doesn't make me any less of a fanatic.
