Ok running around mid level 80es and I have to say what we can kill and sell for is way under even the qu 50 things we can buy as far as ammount earned and ammount of time it takes things to rot. Example a new set of armor is dead in 2 days of tanking and I havent earend enough to pat for another one. I dont craft I dont care for crafting at all but the no loot and what things sell for and what things cost from the crafters is way out of hand.

At level 80 killing off level 50's should net you a very nice profit in just animal parts.. allowing you to buy anything you need replaced from a Crafter.

You dont need to acquire animal parts for new weapons/armor because of the simple fact that Harvested choice+ mats are just that much better then fine or basic animal parts.

I suggest you stick with the lower level mobs for an hour or two make a huge amount of Dapp replace items you need, and goback to the exping grind.

Bottom feeding should not be encouraged.

Bottom feeding is not a good thing!

This is not always true. There are many times that animal parts are better than harvested mats.

Again, bottom feeding is not a good thing and the original poster has a very valid point.

WTH is bottom feeding? Your trying to say that since he is lvl 80 he shouldn't have to kill anything below that to make money...bleh.

And what point...I can easily make 100-300k an hour which is plenty to get some decent armor and such. If you are having problems making money then perhaps you are doing something and may need to look at your actions and/or hunting style and see where you can make more of a profit.

I dunno bout all the high end stuff but most things i have sold or seen sold up to q50 (since its all we have) has been very reasonably priced for the time and effort involved.

Bottom feeding is going out and slaughtering low level critters in mass to collect their crap to sell. It causes problems in that you have a player who gets annoyed at a constant need to go farm trash mobs, and you have a player farming/mass killing mobs that lower level players are now unable to hunt that they want to.

I took a night and solo hunted easy things netted clost to 100k in coins and wore out a 100k pike and a set of armor from 272 to 98 , the same armor set is 150k on the us server.

Another example our server highest level fighter fights nude cause of the costs of armour.

We are not earning the cost the crafters are charging at all with everything rotting so fast.

Another example is a mage who whent on a group hunt lost 50% of their staff condition and wasent hit at all :(

Actually, one benefit of the rapid decay is that equipment is a very effective credit sink - one of the many things that ruined SWG was massive inflation after a bit...

I agree about bottom feeding, but...

This isn't true. This is the case for certain fine mob <-> choice mats. But fine mob vs superior harvested mats..no...not really.

Of cource, there are excellent-superior mats from boss mobs, but getting those is not really practical considering how easy it is to get excellent/superior harvested mats.

Harvested mats are not always better than mob drop mats. Often yes, generally yes, always in every situation?... no.
