Announcing a new alliance - Guardians

The Guardians is an alliance of Neutral and Kami guilds for trading materials and the defence and protection of Outposts.
Our guilds have grown together and are united by a common desire for peace in Atys. We have decided the time is right for an alliance to combine our strength. We seek peace but will maintain peace rigorously and with no compromises.
The alliance currently consist of the following guilds
* Atys Paladins
* Dragon Order of Abylus
* Eleytheria
* Fyros Defenders (Formerly Clan Omnis)
* The Samsara
Our first aim is to support each other but we recognise that for peace in Atys other guilds may need help and we leave our members free to support them if they wish.

This imo will undermine the posistion of Nuetral status and alot of Kara peeps will simply see Nuetral Guilds as undeclared Kami and therefore will probably have an opposite effect from your peacefull intention.
Personally I could respect the position of a Nuetral guild but a Nuetral Guild in a formal alliance with guilds of 1 faction is imo no longer nuetral.

Other guilds may be added in the future. If karavan guilds wish to petition for membership then they should talk to one of the guild leaders of the guilds in the alliance.

Given that you're a member of a Karavan guild you would say that wouldn't you?

Guilds that have grown together is the point - guilds that share common goals and history (regardless of faction). It's only the Fame changes that have forced the faction choice. This is a defensive alliance, looking to PEACEFULLY solve any issues. Looking to trade and help each other specifically, but open to helping and trading with other guilds.
As Kostika said, other guilds (of any faction) can apply to join or to trade.

The original post only mentioned Kami guilds and disregarding the fact that I am Kara aligned I still say the definition of neutral is being leaned on.

How do you maintain peace rigorously without compromises? Is that the same as a very loud silence without staying quiet?
Neutrality is about balance, balance in your actions, balance in every aspect of your being. Stepping into an alliance that has no balanced group of members to the benefit of rigirously and uncompromised maintained peace is not something I view true to the views neutrality keep in a high regard.

Hmmmm...

To me this just means that the alliance is composed of kami and neutral guilds. Technically the faction of the alliance is undetermined because you have a mixture of neutral and kami. This also means imo that karavan can join in on the alliance too.
A neutral guild allied to a kami guild doesn't mean they are Kami!!! they could just as easily be allied to a karavan guild and not be karavan!
It is clear that this alliance is not about faction but more about trade, outposts and guild relationships!

I spent months hunting and trading with these guilds before the factions became divisive. I and my members are good friends with alliance members as we are with many other guilds. It is a good alliance with like-minded guilds and just came together naturally.
"We are an alliance of Kami and Neutral guilds" is a statment of the factions the guilds became during EP2.
We see trading of OP materials, crafted items and cats as a great opportunity that Nevrax have opened up for us. As a single guild we could trade a few different types of items. With the alliance we have access to a larger variety of crafting materials and cats. When we talk about trading it is not just within the alliance, but outside as well.
In alliance discussions we decided that Outposts bring a new dimension to the game; trading and politics have been introduced at last. The alliance allows us to capitalise on those changes.

Find solutions that result in peace and do not compromise your guild ideals. Make every effort to find a solution.

Not disputing the fact that everything is not Black and white Kami/Kara the way some people trundle along in this blinkered fashion when there are so many other factors is abit frustrating and freindships built up over a period of time are indeed a significant factor.
My main point is purely that a truly Nuetral standpoint is irreconcilably compromised when a formal alliance is entered into as freedom to be nuetral on issues is removed unless you ignore the call of your allies. Therefore in a faction context if one of your allies were attacked on legitimate faction grounds what would you do?
In a conflict involving one of your guilds on a tribal/racial basis what would you do if your guild had no direct tribal/racial connection.
The path of a true Nuetral is a very hard one, I may be missing somthing but I just dont see how Nuetral guilds could enter a formal alliance with either faction.
