Hi
I DL'd the game on th recommendation of a friend from WoW )where i am still playing). Game looks nice - but is a bit confusing. I cant even find the next contact in the newbie area
...But Ill just have to keep looking..
Anyway - Im giving the game a chance - and I must admit I like the alt config at the start. Very nice indeed. I hope I can call on other players for advice so I maybe can find the contacts I need to get on....

If memory serves, the next contact will be one of the trainers.

Typically as Gamic stated your next step in the missions is the fighter trainer, then the other trainers. Then you might be sent to the local supplier, the corporal etc bfore returning to your welcomer.
Right click your compass, mouse over "mission" arrow and target the NPC you need for next mission... that will work until you are familiar with their locations.

I just ignored that first quest or whatever you call it
I aborted the welcome thing in the journal and got off the island. Players on the mainland are a lot more helpful than the in game tutorial.
