I've heard so many great things about Ryzom that I just had to try it out for myself. I was addicted to AO for many years, but took some time off and played FPS for about a year.
I'm a MMO guy at heart, and hopefully Ryzom will fill my void.

Wow, I'm already very impressed with the community. I would've never dreamt of receiving this kind of hospitality in Anarchy Online (and that community was much friendlier than EQ, WoW, etc).
Thanks for the warm invite, I'm already fairly convinced I'll love this game!

Welcome to Atys.
I have been here seven months and am addicted. The game is quite subtle and can be offputting if you are used to having your hand held every step. If you are prepared to explore and experiment you will find a wonderful living planet that is open-ended and has many mysteries.
The game can be played solo, but it comes into its own with teams and helping each other. The community spirit arises from the what the game is and we all welcome new people to its wonders.

Welcome to Atys! Hope you enjoy your stay.
You will find the community here to be very friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to ask questions both on these forums and in game - you will always find someone willing to give you answers.
Like Kindle I've been here a while (since the first open beta in May 2004). I was hooked from the very first minute I loaded the game. It's the beauty of the surroundings and the great community that keep me here more than anything else.
