"Can't create window display (1024x768 32 bits)

I just downloaded the Trial (3 hr d/l) and when I try to launch I get that message.
"Can't create window display (1024 x 768 32 bits)"
I tried resetting my display to 800 x 600 and even went down to 16 bit. Nothing works.
Little sidenote: While installing I had a lot of "CRC Failed in..." messages (about 10-12 of these). Please tell me I don't have download everything again.
Btw, I did run the patcher too...still have the problem.

1024*768 32bits are the minimum settings to run the game, so lowering them won't help you

.
I'm not a computer specialists, but I can suggest that you check the FAQ list (there's one FAQ one minimun specs required) and if that doesn't help, download Klients
http://www.ryzom.com/?page=support_tools and login there to ask a GM/CSR member for help.
PS: Oh, and some laptops aren't powerful enough to run SoR ...

Thanks, Lienem
I'm on a desktop PC and my system meets the requirements so I guess I'm off to the chat and keep my fingers crossed. hehehe
I've started another download, just in case. :/

I must be a nitwit or something, lol
I download and extracted the Klients thingy....launched it and it autoconnects and tells me "invalid login" over and over. What am I doing wrong? I see no way to manually login and wouldn't really know what to login to anyway. LOL
Any advice?

Hi Lexi
You could try deleting and re-extracting Klients chat. Enter your login, hit enter, put in the game password (which might be different to your forum pw - check your email) and hit enter again.
Good luck!

Sorry to sound so dumb, but I never use chat clients so I'm totally lost.
Where, exactly, am I supposed to put in my login and password? Nothing pops up to do this in or anything. I'm really lost here, lol.
Btw, thanks for the help!

1024 x 768 32 bits is probably the minimum settings your desktop should be at for the game to operate properly.
You mentioned some CRC check failures, try running "ryzom_recover,exe" from the SoR root folder (they recommend doing this up to 5 times) to have your key files checked and redownloaded. After you have done that and if you still have problems they will probably ask for a dxdiag log from you to see where the problem may be.

Hi I am having the same problem on a desktop computer, it is not the computer i use all the time to play but would like to add the game to this one too. I believe it meets the min spec's. I didnt have any trouble downloading the game.

The Intel graphics chip is hard pressed to play Ryzom as it does not have the hardware capability. I have a feeling that you may have one of those.
