Weird issue ,looked like I was nuked

I just installed the game last night , I played for maybe 5 minutes and the game hard locked pretty bad . The monitor went into like a sleep mode and the pc was non-responsive . I had to power off the pc , upon reboot it would not post for a good 5 minutes . My cable modem was showing that I was receiving packets from somewhere still and for the entire time my modem received those packets , the PC would not POST at all ..

What I mean by "not post" is ; normal pc bootup we get one beep from the post to indicate everything is ok . That didnt happen until I had unplugged the modem from the PC. How weird is that ?? The only other time something like this happened is when some kid nuked way back like 7 years ago ..

Some guy was advertising this game on the SWG forums last night so I figured I would try it out .. One person responded saying this game sucks blah blah it nearly fried his computer .. I thought the guy who said that was just being retarded but this experience last night has caused me some concern..

Heres what the log shows right before this happened :

I would say that your system overheated and locked up.
Ryzom will make any system work to 100% and if your cooling is not up to the task then it will lock-up. Make sure that your cooling fins and fans are clear of dust and the fans are able to run at maximum.

I agree, be particular observant of the temperature of your graphic card. I had similar problems when I started gaming. I have to keep the nearest pci port open to make sure the airflow is unrestricted.

I recommend lowering your FSB a couple MHZ, it has helped lots of people play ryzom, especially with AMD chips and ATI cards.
