sooo, whats up with PR nowadays?
seems like its getting easier and easier, there was a time when you had to be a skilled adventurer/aggro dodger even to get to one spot, max dp guarenteed. nowadays PR a walk in the park, 90% of spots are acessable solo, 50% safe.
First you take away Guardian Voraxes and "displace" half the kitin
Secondly you take away kinchers at the entrances
Thirdly you take away Kitin Patrols to asumingly make room for Spires and PvP
You may aswell fill the place with yubos, as there are more Master Prime Roots foragers in there now than kinchers. (no offense fellow muck diggers)
i know its already been talked about, but, karavan and kami have access to these lands easily, free to dig safely for the most part as much as they want, whilst the neutrals are left out, "encouraged" to take a nonsense 40 minute (gameplay time) run every time they dig there/die/fill their bag. A neutral is denied basic game dynamics, you can argue whether rp wise its good, but i can tell you its boring making these trips that add nothing to the game, we get there in the end, but just waste half the playing time doing so. TPing is basic transport, a game mechanic, as neutrals take 4 times to dig one spot in PR should we even supply kara/karavan or act like the elitist "faction" we are being treated like? neutrals are open arms to all homin, surely the kara/kami gods should be paying us for equipting their fighters with superior merchandise? not denying us

You're message seems contradictory on one hand you say its too easy, then you say its too time consuming. If you now spend more time travelling rather dogding, time spent will probably be the same more or less. for a cult member the travel is more convenient, thats the cookie for those that sign up. Cult loyalty is not just RP now but a game mechanic, making the cults comparable to each other and neutrals weaker. Rational is simple, the cults (and races) are the powers in atys, neutrals are not.

since the first day i stepped out of refugee island...this game has been about people and not gamemechanics,RP [although i am a fan of RPing myself] and cults....
the biggest selling point of the game to any of my mates that followed my hype was freedom to do everything in the game one can...[Tux,Baffos,Zaren,Inertia,Xunil]
well the biggest selling point is gone...clearly because ur now restricted..and ultimately forced to pick a side....sure u can stay neutral but ur being forced eventually to join a cult...
i dont see how someone can now ''advertise'' to m8s SoR as something special...as its novelty value is fading and its best ''points'' are being stripped out by force.
i dont see how someone can actually see neutral as a choice atm...for me its a waiting room for a cult...nothing more...
ppl will contradict that neutral wasnt here before and we all enjoyed the game...they are wrong we were ALL mostly NEUTRAL BY CHOICE..because we mixed kamis and karas in teams BY CHOICE...chose to ignore fame etc or a few of us balanced it to 0/0 [as pointless as it was since the kami/kara was an on/off situation]
for me the game is being ruined piece by piece by the road nevrax is taking it...instead of evolving and adopting the game to the players needs and wants...they decide to do the opposite...ask the player to adopt to a whole new game concept to the one that was standard
[think about it does this remind u anything of the SoR of 2 years ago?Wheres the abudance of ppl [kami and kara] in the stables helping noobs?with the current cult status..a neutral city (which dont exist atm) could only provide the old feel]
personally i can only do one thing...post my thoughts and start looking for another mmorpg to accomodate my wants and needs in a game....i'm still here waiting for a fix in what i c as wrong...and thats handicapping neutrals...i was promised a neutral status/faction...and what i got was a chop of ur right foot and ur neutral kinda deal...
whether the neutral thing gets fixed or not is something i will be waiting on...while looking for another mmorpg to accomodate my needs and wants..till then one thing is for sure...theres nothin special to hype about SoR no more...just a run of the mill online game..with the typical characteristics that go along with that...
-end of rant-
edit: my apologies if straying waaaaaaaaaaaay out of topic..my train of thought took me there...i was gonna moan about the PR tp's..

Yea scar PR is a shadow of its former self, back in the day there was not only the 3 kinchers gaurding all entrances but enough kitin patrols to make getting teleporters a fair tast with alot of DP, now i can wonder around PR with relative ease in comparison, as far as ive read from the games background its kara that are banished from the PR i dont think neutrals should have acess to all TPs but its totals unfair to deny them acess to all in some of the most important regions especially for players like scar who alot of us rely on for craft......

Time-consuming is not the opposite of easy. Killing a million yubos would take a lot of time, but that doesn't make it hard to do. Running through a pack of predators without being attacked is difficult but takes only 10 seconds, whether you make it or become lunch.
Spending half an hour sneaking through aggro, hovering around a pack trying to find the right opening to run in and harvest the materials, can be challenging and fun. Spending half an hour just walking from the altar to the foraging spot (or from the capital to the town with the q250 merchants) is just plain boring.
We made the same mistake of confusing time-consuming with difficult back when we needed mobs difficult enough to give decent experience to a full group of level 230 players. One way to do this would be supersocial mobs that always attack with the whole pack when you attack one of them. Another way would be elusive mobs that spawn in random locations and have to be hunted down across the entire region. Yet another way would be mobs with a whole array of special attacks that the hunting team would have to counter.
All of these mobs could be challenging to hunt. But what we have now are herbivores with just a huge amount of health. They're not hard to find, and they are no real risk to a team, they just take a long time to go down. Hunting them is both easy and time-consuming, and as such it is mind-numbingly boring.
As Scar is saying, the Prime Roots are becoming both more easy and at the same time more time-consuming. That's a bad combination that usually leads to things becoming more boring.

Your not being forced to join a cult. I need high level areas - period. I now have to walk further - true. But I still havn't joined either faction. My PR tps are in nexus, and my mount is actaually getting some use.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea - but it's easy enough to adapt if you want to remain neutral and are high in level.
(I did have to move out of my apartment, but that's a different story)

With the new lighter mob density you can easily get around the PR and fast if you use your mount. I was able to get from Yrk to the Nexus and back on my mount with nothing more than a small scratch.
It is true neutrals can't use PR TPs but there is not as big of a need for them now. With the TPs outside of the PR and in the Nexus working it is a quick run to almost any spot in the PR.
With the faction war and spires being added soon, I still think the neutrals will have things easier. Olny time will tell, all I know is I'm having fun now.

wow you rode through a now un kitten patrolled abyss of ichor all the way to nexus, next time ride onward to deep into the wastelands, turn arround go back, repeat 6 times a day, now tell me you think this is a realistic way of travelling, doing once is fun, doing it as regualar game play is (i know this is the 5th time this word has been mentioned in the last two days but no other word sums it up)
boring.

You can now TP to the entrace of Wastelands and walk in, sounds easy to me. Talk about boring, harvesting is boring. The trip in and out at least makes things a little more exciting. I think without change things are boring.
We got spoiled having things so easy for so long and don't want things to change. I see change as a good thing, it brings life back into a stale game.
