Hello Everyone.

I just started last night and I have so say WOW.
I am impressed.
I burnt out on EQ a few years ago... too many angry *children playing for my desire...
I played SWG for over 2 and a half years - then NGE hit and ruined my character.
I learned about this game from the SWG forums - purely by accident (?)
I was posting to say I was leaving SWG and giving all my suff away and *poof* I see a post with info about Ryzom !!
Interestingly enough I got DSL just a few days ago so I was able to download the game yesterday while I was at work!
I love it when a plan comes together!

I created a magic-crafter-fighter first.
After reading some of the posts here I'll try the magic-harvestor-crafter tonight.
I was a Master Architect / Artisan in SWG because I like to craft.
I had enough fighting skills to survive and gain the hides and such for my crafting - then NGE killed that...
I look forward to playing again ... and enjoying it!

Btw yourstarting pack doesnt define your char, just gives you a starting point. Advances to be made in every skill tree takes alot of time and effort but is well worth it.

For crafters I think Ryzom can give quite a lot. We're a bunch of refugees here and we'd be delighted to help if possible. Feel free to tell Faa IG, or, during the night Goupi also.

We're in game for a month now so we cannot give as much info as the vets here btu we can give some specific info I believe for people who were familiar with SWG interface.

Hey there!

I get the feeling that since PC Gamer and Format ripped the hell out of the new Galaxies start kit we may be seeing even more SWG converts, glad to be part of the tide myself.

My Galaxies templated was MSwordsman/MTailor with enough skills in Merchant and Scout to sell my wares and gather hide, so I've started with Fight/Craft/Harvest to try and reach the same degree of self-sufficiency I had before.

If you like diversity of gameplay, you'll love it here =)

Just like you, I'm here as another SWG/NGE refugee. Also like you, I was a Trader/Structures (what once was Master Architect/Master Artisan in days gone by).

I'm just getting here tonight (downloading my Trial now), although I remember checking out this game a lonnnng time ago when it was still in closed beta. It sounded great then, and it still looks great (on site) and it's time I gave it a try. It's so darn hard to let go of my 2+ yrs at SWG and to "abandon" all my chars there but....well, you know the story.

Anyway, so glad to see you here and perhaps we'll meet in-game sometime! Take care and *hugs* from a fellow-refugee.
