Amberle: A Tribute to a Fallen Friend

Friends of OmegaV... I would like to ask for a brief moment of silence to honor a fallen comerade. Many of you knew and will remember Amberle as being a truly wonderful homin, with a sense of spirit and adventure unmatched in all of Atys.
You all knew her as Amberle, but we knew Steph to be a true friend and a loving wife to Skull (Bill). Steph fell to cancer on Monday after several days of deep sleep. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Amberle will remain on the OmegaV guild roster for all time. Steph, we miss you always and know that you are in a better place. Skull, anything you need is yours. You have but to ask.
This said, I ask that any of you who knew her or might have screenshots, memoirs, or anything else that pertains to the impact she had on you please send your thoughts, songs, pictures, or (small) movies to
drakesf2k@yahoo.com. You are also welcome to express your feelings here if you find that to be easier. I ask that any pictures or movies that you send be limited to 800x600 or higher for editing purposes. My plan is to put together a sort of Ryzom memorial to Amberle to help express in the best way possible how much she will be missed and how we all feel about both her and Skull.

Amberle will be sorely missed.
Spiff wrote:...memoirs...
My favorite time on Atys was trekking with a very young OV (most under lvl 50) through Hidden Source to get to Thesos. Amberle referred to us as the "insane guild" for trying such things. We eventually made it after about 4 tries and 4 hours later with Skull tanking things we had no business fighting.
She'll be forever in our hearts.

The saddness in my heart cannot be expressed. It has truly been a sad few months with an incredible glimmer of hope that blessed us all in OmegaV and throughout Steph's life with a brief glimpse of the woman we all knew.
As a homin, and more truly as a human, Steph was an incredible person to me and touched my life with many thoughts and insights. We spent many a time chatting away as we took the riches from the soil of Atys.
From the days when I was young on Atys, to the days when our friendship blossomed, to the time we shared in the recent weeks, I will never forget a moment of any of it. Thinking of the pain you had, the fight you gave, and the inspiration you spread brings both tears and smiles to my face.
Steph, I will never forget you!
With the Greatest of Love,
Noin. (Marc)

I did not know Amberele I only know that Skull asked me to make some sparklies for her and explained to me her condition. Told me of her situation and the reason for the special order and her inabilitiy to play much. I remember her standing around quietly in yrk. I did not know her situation was that bad. I wish you well Skull and hope you and your family are strong in this time together.

A Homin gone is never well, of this sad stories tell.
A spirit so rich and fine, will always live in the heart of mine.
You fought so well on the field, when casting or your sword wield.
A Homin so kind and so giving, yet now left the world of the living.
Gone to a place, where no one can see you face.
A place where your voice we cannot hear, as it the silence shear.
Left here we are, this feels not right by far.
Where did you go, You who were so alive, without you how will we thrive ?
Your name whispered by the wind, you one of a kind.
You may have moved further then us, yet do not feel sorrow for a loss.
In memory no one is ever gone, whom can forget one as you, whom our hearts won.
Within heart and within mind, there you live, memories of you is to find.
Perhaps you have gone, but not far, remembered by us all you are.
You whom so much give, within us all you still live.
When someone parts from us it is sad. But remember that as long as one lives in your
memories one is never truly gone. I remember.

I wish to send so much love to all of you who knew and loved Amberle - sadly I did not. What incredibly tragic news. My heart goes out to Skull (Bill) at this time; I pray that you are surrounded by love and affection and support and friendship. Know that every player, on every server, feels for you at this time Bill. News like this sure does put things into perspective. Heartfelt wishes to all in OmegaV. My love and thoughts are with you all.
PS. Spiff, what an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful message. Seems to me Amberle would have cherished every word

Such a kind and sweet woman cannot be found as was steph/amberle, always a kind word, and always willing to help out at a moments notice.....
my memories of her will be of nothing less than that of a hero, fallen in tragic times... after fighting as long as she has.
u will be missed dearest steph, but never forgotten...

I did not know Amberle well, but my impression of her was always that of a kind, lovely person, and the love others obviously held for her spoke volumes to me.
My thoughts (and those of Sekhmet, who cannot post here since unsubscribing) are with you Skull, as well as your family and the rest of OV. May you find the strength to see you through this time.
