Weird Hunting ...

I was hunting yesterday in void , i was using offensive affliction(madness) and my teammate was using melee and we were getting pretty fast 3k xp.
But at 1 moment i started to get various xp like between 1.8k and 3k , my partner was still getting 3k each time oO.
I asked a gm about that and i said me : with madness if you hit less than your teammates you get less xp especially when you are 20-30 lvl lower than him.
Since 10 month i play this game that is the first time that happens to me and i was thinking that if all hit the mob in team all get the same xp
Tho i had time to make some tests and it apears that :
when i hit 1 time i was getting 3k
when i hit more or when i linked the mob i was getting less
So i would ask the old afflictions user to share their experience and give me some light cause i still thinking that its a bug

However the gm said me that could happen with ALL the magies hehe.

yes, it's a bug or as nevrax calls it "working as intended".
it came up in past too. dunno why, but "because mob hits itself, you dont get full xp when using madness" explanation comes to mind.

About wierd hunts:
last night I played with 1h spear and tried to find optimal combo and this is what I found (I hunted Timaris):
1) Ignore+Accu works well and mob recives max dmg = 247 (this is my current 1h weapon dmg)
2) Ignore+Increase works but mobs recive from 150-450 dmg ( this might be sth about my low level of 1h fight: 161 now and using q160 spear and mob was 200+)
3) Ignore+Acu+AIM ...works good but much lower hit rate
4)Ingnore+Accu+Incr...here sth WRONG occured : mob started resists half of dmg! I was getting info : 247(450+) ...this is wierd!
So if some 1 might have an idea is it bug or sth we don't know yet.

I've been using lots of def aff (not the same as off true

) but with def i never got that prob. I'll try it with madness today

Yes, that seems to be exactly the reason... Found that bug (again?) some month ago and reportet it.
(my personal explaination: as the mob hits itself, there is another fighter that "fights the mob" so the mage gets another team-xp-modificator...)

That only happens with madness... none of the other affliction spells.

inc.damage gives double damage, acc.attack gives +30 lvl's to your skill
you didnt mention what lvl of those skills you used, so it may have been that those skills didnt succeed every time you hit mob. and then there is partial resist (or parry/dodge)
using lvl 100 skill with q250 weapon, you should use lvl 100'ish (115 ?) inc.damage/acc.attack/bleeding to get max effect.
at least it was like that when i used q170 sword with lvl 120 skill, got double damage even when used lower lvl inc.damage than my weapon.
dont know if partial resist (parry/dodge) efects ignore armor or not.
other explanation is... it's a bug

I was using stanzas propertly matched with my level of 1h pike and weapon I was using (this r skills up q160-170).

I've been playing with afflictions a bit lately and have noticed that in a 2 man team you only need madness to hit once to get the full share of xp, in a 3 man team you need to hit 3 times, regardless if 1 hit stays linked for ages and you cause loads of dmg. I did find that a single hit with blind gets you full xp so guess what, I use blind now

the prob is only the afflictionnist(me) got various xp , my teammate(melee) was still getting 3k.
