Continenal travel & multi-race guild appear to be nearly impossible atm

My guild, the desert ghosts, tried to make a multi race guild .. but we currently are facing huge problems. Most of our guild members are Fyros or Tyker. Snapshot from our guild forums:

First problem: find eachother

Currently traveling from fyros terretory to tyker is nearly impossible. To do so you got 3 options:

- Go via Dyron through the roots to Fyros and then to Tyker. This looks the most easy path, but inside the roots (under spring) traveling goes fine upto halfway, then there is a huge belt of aggro mobs, nearly impossible to get trough .. after that you still have to face the whole Fyros continent and half the Tyker one.

- Going via Thesos trough Matis teretory to Tyker. Its very hard to reach Thesos, but its possible, getting to the portal is even harder since there is a place called Kipucka plains wich is right in front of it, I guess you can imagine what thats like. This was the easy part. After going trough the portal to Matis you face 6.5 km travel trough terretory with lvl 200+ aggro mob untill you reach the next spawn. Aggro mob are all over the place in the northen Matis terretory, most of my tries I didn't manage to get 100 meters out since some cuttler were camping the spawn cave.

- Last option is going trough the Fyros canyon, traveling over 10km trough the roots with a single spawn halfway, I don't even think about trying that. (reaching the canyon spawn allso requires traveling sevral km trough highly dangerous areas).

Tried for 8 hours long, but failed.

Second problem: Fame

Since Tyker and Fyros are allied I didn't expect fame problems, but there are. Getting fame doing Fyros missions will drop Tyker fame, so having a multo-race guild still requires to play in one single terretory if you want a decent guild or if you ever want to capture an outpost for instance.

The Prime Roots areas were designed as high level group areas. not as inconvience for individuals trying to get through from one land to the other. Myabe that is why you are finding it tough :) even so, some individuals have made it through some of the Roots, showing that with patience and careful planning it is possible, just not a stroll in the park that most people seem to expect it to be.

On slightly different note, speaking as one of the original DGs, what you have stated as the current DG goal is completely alien to the original concept. The original idea was always to be predominatley a Fyros guild with some individuals from the other races. Otherwise the whole purpose of the race differences and fame is lost.

Intercontinental travel IS possible. Our guild (and a few others) can travel to Zorai, Fyros and Mantis territories. It is ttricky to travel, but possible. The only exeption seem to be tryker lands, noone made it through so far AFAIK.

Note that mobs sometimes get moved a little during a server reboot - this means at one day getting through is halfway possible, while on another day there's no gap in the aggros.

We made it from Zora to Fyros via Underspring and from Zora to Mantis via Wasteland-Nexus-Abyss. I and a guildmate tried to get from Fyros to Mantis - she managed it, I logged out shortly because it was getting late (better: early). Next day I tried 5 hours to get through without success - mob locations had changed....

Fame, now, is another question. It seems a guild has to concentrate on 1 or 2 races.

Whats more, I believe intercontinental travel IS meant to be hard...

Actually, I made it from matis to the fyros canyon:
-matis -> abyss of ichor
-abyss of ichor -> nexus
-nexus -> lands of umbra
-lands of umbra -> fyros canyon

course its hard, but you didnt expect to make it in 10 mins did you ? I ended up with 324k dp on this trip...

I have to agree with mrozzy that it is annoying for guilds as my guild is going to have problems as we have members from every race. But I do have to disagree on the travel as it is sometimes possible

Surely you mean Zorai here, not Fyros ?

Unfortunately I agree zwadi. Sad to see that the original ideals are no longer applicable :( (not sure who you were in DG but hi anyway)

Multi-race is possible, and my guild is building up to it.

The trick is you can't just accept missions from anyone. Missions from some mission givers will increase fame with fewer groups (i.e. not Kami or Karavan). Finding those mission givers and doing them exclusively is the key.

I've successfully eliminated my Tryker penalty without hurting any of my other faction fames at all.
