Is there a compiled list of Atysian names anywhere? Preferably separated by race?

Not every NPC name. There are still many NPC's that are not in their list.amitst wrote:I know Bmystix has every NPC name in their database. Is that a good way to start?
I got excited then to see if this was a list of well established player homins... shucks!zyrom wrote:well, not complete but i started one here feel free to add to it

I did a quick query of the names of all NPCs in our database. You can see it here. I didn't do any filtering so there's some things listed that aren't really names (Ancient Dryads Kami Ambassador, for example).amitst wrote:I mentioned Bmystix cause they have a database of NPC names. It would be easy for them to generate an NPC first name/last name list.
It would be up to Nevrax to generate etymology for names, there might be some of this captured in the lore.
I think something as grand as player names/history/lore should be executed by anyone as they see fit, but preferably a single motivated guild, and, with Oshido's approval, fed back into the Bmystix site.
I always think thr fyros have a slight latin sound to some of their names, probably just me thinking that thoaylwyne wrote:The Tryker are pretty easy to spot. Most have the appostrophe (Mac'Wiley Jidgen, Be'Gany Liffan). Zorai names have a strong east Asian influence (La-Viang Fuan, Nao Li-Qiao). Matis names all sound slightly Italian to me (Sirgio Besti, Liccio Chiacco), and the Fyros ones are the ones with lots of X's, Z's and such (Xycaon Tindix, Zemus Zessen).
