Suggestions for High Lvl Players

I am pleased about things starting to move about more content for non-pvpers, however, i still have a few concerns....
Alot of ppl since last Kiten raids have reached the Cap 250 in alot of skills, the last Kiten raids i didnt participate in much as i ended up killin alot of kiten for no reward at all (no XP in any skill)as my skills were too high.
Now if raids are brought back i would like to think that ppl who have capped their lvl's do get something good out of them, event mats took up too much bulk, it was a nightmare doing the click thing on trades and the end result was something no-one ever used. even when the boss was killed after killin something like 500 minions only 1 person got the loot, the rest of the killin team got 3k xp, if i happened to b in that team, i would only get like 3k xp for the killing of those minions and 1 boss and no other reward, hardly seemd worth it if i took the time out to get involved for a number of reasons, for instance, the event was on a diggin spot i liked so i couldnt dig there anymore, i was fed up with the no reward and wanted the event over as quick as possible.
Dont get me wrong, sometimes the events were fun, but there are times of the day when server population is very low, that is when there becomes even less for us to do.
So I am looking for suggestions/idea's for fun/rewards (practical) for us the lvl 250's, ( infact lower than that as above a ceratin lvl i cant remember what, XP is non-obtainable).

The honor points are not a bad idea, in and of themselves. The complaints against them so far is that the only way to earn them is to engage in meaningless PvP either as a target or a ganker.
As long as honor points are given some worthwhile redeemable value, that would be incentive enough to participate in a kitin raid, no matter your level.
Additionally, if the threat were great enough to impact the day-to-day activities of homins (kitin advances taking over cities and the like) then we would have to fight in order to reclaim the lost land.

I have to say i loved the kitin invasion event, and even tho the clickfest was a nightmare it was nice to come away with a 'special' item that i had worked for, then chosen. I wouldnt mind seeing a few more of this type of event (although i do understand it would be pointless to hold them too often as they would no longer be 'special').
As a mid lvl player, i cant speak for the higher players, but surely the mob lvls could be tweaked so there is some challenge for higher players, and if the high mobs were kept further behind the main event, lower players could still take part. Of course, the system would then need setting so the higher mobs gave better rewards, or more points toward choosing a better main reward for the event.

random thoughts:
upping the level cap to 300 at first glance sounds a good idea, but considering how much time would be needed (new mobs/land/etc) the benefit probably isnt worth it at this point in time (with so much dev work in the pipeline). It wouldnt take long for 250 ppl to reach 300 imo.
a new skill tree might be better long term, and maybe thats planned with the talk of consumables
some kind of level exchange mechanism, linked to fame. a player with say 75 racial fame and a maxed level could visit a trainer and excahnge levels in one branch for another - with a massive penality of course. so for example reduce a 250 forage by 100 levels and gain 50 in a different branch. hmm doesnt sound so good now i've typed it but i did say random
raids. sorry if thats swearing for some of u, let me make it worse, instanced raids!! impossibly large vorax/jug/yubo and family discovered ravaging a zone, 25 players needed to help take it out. ppl sign up and visit kami/kara npc for teleportation to the zone. Once the players had all signed up difficulty would adjust based on their cumlative levels
The one thing that i really wish had made it out of the manual and into the game was tribes getting stronger, invading our lands, etc. half the system is in place, with the complex fame relationships there is potential for a very deep and interesting game play mechanic there but sadly a lot of work to implement i think. The key thing is should be dynamic (mostly). scripted events are fun, but to have the anti-kamis start taking over outposts in grove of umbra, and eventually reach a critical mass (or drag their allies (npc and player) along) and invade min-cho based on ingame activity would be truly stunning.
most controversial thought for last, the current faction war/honor point event works very well at keeping high lv peeps entertained. pitting us against each other is, regardless of whether u like or not, a good solution for something to do! With a bit of imagination warring factions
doesnt have to be all about PvP (in a my pokey stick is sharper than urs way), there are many ways to compete without nuking each other. Land grab events can be done as PvE or digging or whatever. And maybe when outposts are live they will evolve to encompass this.
so tired, soz if i'm talking rubbish

Was kind of random

but it gave me an idea... what about new skill trees that were unlocked but only when you reached certain levels in multiple other trees.
Like if you reach L200 in both 2H melee fighting and 2H melee crafting, maybe you start learning new skills that let you make really unique or interesting weapons.
There could be a lot of combinations that would give us more opportunity to specialize our characters and create a little individuality in our skills at higher levels.

I really like this idea. I'd also like to see titles that go along with that idea. Like getting 200+ in all the 2hand weapons gives a special title, etc.

ohh and gambling would be really nice also. knew i forgot something last night

Dice, cards, etc in the bars. I've had a few games of poker in Pyr's bar, it's a nice social experience (thx ghuiss) but a bit long winded when one person is sitting with RL cards at PC and telling the rest of us our hands

i usually don't bother to read the forums to much, find it much more amusin just readin my guildchat, get most of wots goin on there, but today i can't play so i gave it a shot
readin these posts i got an idea for raids, since the higher lvls don't get all that much revard from them, an many don't like having to PvP for honor points (not that i know wot those are good for, but obviously they've gotta be good for somin), wouldn't it be possible to make a kitin raid (or somin in that direction) that gave you honorpoints??
just a thought anyway
*edit* no need for a dubble sinature
