Jessica Mulligan, Executive Producer for Ryzom, has taken the time to write a new letter to the players. Among other current topics, she talks about Episode 2 and the upcoming outpost tests on the ATS Server.

A brief preview:
by Jessica Mulligan wrote: It has been interesting for us – and very instructive – to see the reaction to Episode 2 and the current concept of the Outposts, which will be going onto the ATS soon for open testing (more about that below).

In the spirit of showing that we do listen and respond with action, here are a few things we believe we’ve learned from recent experience and how we’re planning on responding to those lessons in the near future. [...]

Nice letter, been wondering when you would start getting back into the habit of writing them...
Here, again, we've learned from from you and are committed to polishing Chapter III with you; no rush to the live servers with this!
Yay :D Just don't take too long - and if something is holding things up, then tell us what it is ;)

I am overjoyed to see some responsiveness to the concerns, an explanation on the outposts delay and the promise of more kitin oriented stuff in the future.

This goes a long way to restoring my faith and I hope it will hold out some hope to those who were/are/have left - I hope its not too late.

However I also agree that some more specific answers to raised questions would be good, anytime soon, and I would add that the basics of this reply could have defused a lot of the negative feeling going on had they been published earlier.

Yup, dont underestimate the power (and attraction) of your own RAID engine. :)
PvP is fun, every now and then (given a whole lot of various circumstances being right...); but there must be new fresh options for everyone.

...many of you have expressed a preference to keep exploring the nature of the Kitin...
And the goo! Don't forget the goo :D .

Very happy to see this responsiveness, and am looking forward to developments :) .

Based on that feedback, we’ve already started working on new Kitin PvE scenarios for you. We’re putting a major effort into it and we expect it to take up much of the available Live Team work cycles until then.

Aren't Kitin PvE scenarios supposed to be the heart and soul of the homin struggle for Atys.

It is always good to see feedback... lets be sure that we don't do any silly votes IG or forums to dictate the direction of things... it is not working. We had folks from all races voting on individual racial ideals IG, and the minority that take part on the forums making the most noise.

There will always be war, just allows everyone a way to take part and that should be the best of all worlds...
