Come on Nevrax, wakey wakey!
The number of questions about the new fame system is mounting up on the feedback thread. Since Monday, when the new system was announced, there have been 136 posts on that thread over 14 pages. Number of those posts from Nevrax? One - the original post by Lawrence.
The questions, speculation and requests for clarification keep coming but we get no responses from Nevrax. Call that communication??
Come on Nevrax gives us some ANSWERS please!!

The only explanation I can think of is that right now the very same moment when most of us tearing our last remained hair away, the whole Nervax team is sitting and having brainstorm answering our questions

May be they really have lost the communal brain (see thread
http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18962).
More seriously, in a strange sort of a way it might be a good indication that getting any answers is taking a while. It could mean that they really are thinking about what has been said and the delays are as a result of those in charge of product development (Jessica and ?) wanting x y and z and the devs coming back with bits and pieces and Jessica saying thats not what I meant etc. In which case they really don't yet have proper definative answers.
Now if this were the case you could argue that a holding reply would be good, and in some situations it would be. In this particular case I am not so sure. I have a horrible suspicion that given the heat that has been about it would simply cause another round of what are you up to posts and worse.

it should be fairly wide known by now that nevrax only answers when they have hard facts. example: i asked xavier for a visual representation fo the episodes and chapters and whatnot and never got an answer until one day that thing popped up in the news.

But that would suggest that they don't know the answers and surely they should at this stage of development?! The vast majority of questions have been about specific scenarios, "what if", surely they know how it will work by now (release is next month!) and can answer them??
I think the least they could do is acknowledge the concerns and say "we're formulating a list of responses". This goes back to the dark days when we got no communication from Nevrax at all.
We're supposed to be a mature, reasonable, helpful community (though EP2 has damaged that IMHO), we'd accept at least SOME response. Wouldn't we?
I know I would, just a "we're working on answers" would be nice. I'd settle for that in the short term.

have to agree there, i'm pretty sure that they are working on some kind of answers, perhaps something like the op extra, but acknowledgement woudl be nice. :/

they should put their time in getting outposts on ats, then answer your questions

Your questions are not being ignored or forgotten of course.

I know it sometimes seems that way when there's silence, but behind the scenes everyone's busy and working hard on pushing things forward. To give you a quick status update - We've gathered your recent fame-related questions from across the forums and we're in the process of discussing them internally among the team. Your questions & main concerns were also included with our most recent community report this week, a document that gets read by a lot of people at Nevrax.
Nevrax is fully aware of the need to address some of the community's current concerns and questions, they've been a top priority in our recent internal meetings and conferences and I'll try to keep you guys posted on any progress here.
In the meantime, please don't let that stop you from submitting new questions, i.e. through our Q&A thread:

Lawrence,
maybe you could give a bit more prodding, not to say that they have not gotten our reports, etc. They had our expectation set and everyhting was going well with hearing from Jessica of David every other week if I recall correctly. Since serious Outpost, and EP2 stuff has been going on, this disappeared.
The last note from eithr of these 2 was dated
September 21st(link here), that is well over a month ago. This states the fame re-vamp would be patched Oct. 26th, ,since past, and that the Outposts are currently being patched on the ATS today for EVERYONE to be able to test.
Now, that is not good communication to be putting something on ATS today, and there is no fanfare. I would expect this is not the case but no one is to know for sure.
Even the positive and optimistic are wishing to hear something straight from the horses mouth. (even if it does need translating)
Noin.
