If you live in North America, you can save a lot of money. The dlGamer.com download is a rip off compared to this. I saw the original Ryzom box (still in it's shrink wrap, this was not a used game) on sale at EB Games for $4.97 Canadian! This was about a month and a half ago. This is an indication of how well Ryzom sales are going here. By now you may be able to buy the game for less than $2.00.

Does that include the 60 days of gameplay that the dlGamer offer does?

The real trick is finding a store with it on the shelf. I've seen one store in my area with one copy since Ryzom went retail. And the game was severely marked down...not quite as good as the deal you found though, Nav.

Guess it depends on where you live. I see it on the shelf at regular price in lots of stores in my area.

That's definitely good to hear. I love this game and would hate to think that my area is an indication of its success or lack thereof.

Also another reason for marked down prices is that shops want to get rid of stock. I've seen EQ (1&2) marked down to around half price in shops. So it's likely not the best indicater.

Also MMOs (usually) offer downloads of the games that are more up to date. So why buy a copy you'll have to apply a year worth of patches to when you can download it and have to do much less patching.

I know which I'd choose.
