Now that the Aelius Dunes have closed is it still possible to build root/pedestal? There don't seem to be any harvest shell missions and we all know that good, building-quality shell is needed for these foundation parts.
I have a sneaking suspicion the Olkern Lakes will be harvested dry in the not too distant future - will that mean that bark and fibre materials won't be available anymore?
If this is the case are we going to end up with lots of part-built sanctuaries like the Leaning Tower of Pyr? And weren't there supposed to be sections that had to be constructed first? The ceiling of the Tryker Chapel may have been painted by the famous Mc'Ikel deAngelo but it's unfortunate that they had to use it as a makeshift floor
Can any master builders enlighten this simple digger?

From what I have seen, the answer is simple:
What isn't finished by the time the current 'Old Land' closes, will be magically finished by the 'divine' powers themselves. For it is true, the second floor can't be built before the first one, so if the slaves are too slow and can't keep the scedule, the 'gods' just have to move a finger as well.

Its really absurdly stupid if a side gets rewarded by not constructing their temple and therefore can just spend all their time killing.
I'm guessing it might come available again in the jungle or forest transition.

May aswell not bother with the PvP areas then and just go hunting in preparation for the Spire Wars.

I actually left my digging char in AD after it was closed, I had to leave on guild business but the camp, towers guards and everything were gone. I might have been able to dig quite a few mats unhindered had I stayed.
Kodel.

One bag, then you would have to port out to give them to the mission guy.

simple solution really, the inferior construction progess will force a redesign of some temples. For example the token effort i made to the karavan temple in CoI may be sufficient for perhaps a pleasent statue rather than a temple, other options could be open plan, no walls, thin walls, overall smaller, a nice square with a token pillar, a marker on the ground saying 'temple here soon' etc
