Warmly welcome Caso1! Good choice on MMO.

Leave the starting area as soon as you learned the controls (that place is so deserted, you can get more help asking questions in the /region-channel on the mainland). Don't be put off by the recent heated discussions concerning Faction War. Choosing a guild that is right for you has huge impact on the game.

And if you go for Matis: don't feed the dogs.

Welcome Janel!

I hope that you enjoy Atys. I doubt you'll find me in that timeslot though (assuming it is the US central zone), my head would be hitting the keyboard. But we do have some Australian and New Zealanders in my guild!

Hi Janel,

Welcome to the wonderful world of ryzom. my name is alibooma and im from the UK.

Which race are you?

Dont read too much into the heated posts in the general forum. wait until you can make your own choice is my tip ;)

The advice you have been given for leaving the starter island quickly is good, advice. that area is very quiet and you cant gain a proper "feel" for this game if you stay there. Most people aim for getting to a skill of about 20 before they find the kami/karavan dude and leave.

Be warned... once you leave you cant go back (not that you would ever want to)!!
