Q&A Round XVI

Upon request, a fresh new thread for our next Q&A round. All questions from the old thread have been processed and passed on to Nevrax respectively.

This is the place where you can ask questions about the game, existing and upcoming features & content, patches, policies or anything else you'd like to know more about.

On a regular basis, we collect your questions (from all 3 communities), submit them to Nevrax, hunt down developers, designers and artists and get you answers to your questions. While we cannot promise to answer all of your questions, we strive to answer as many of them as possible. Popular questions may also be answered through a separate article (i.e. this article regarding outpost rewards) and/or our player information section on the website, rather than through the Q&A.

Before posting a question, please take a moment to read through our Q&A guidelines, where you can find detailed information on how these Q&A rounds work, what types of questions we are most likely able to get answers on, etc.

The Q&A guidelines can be found here: http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13068

I also recommend taking a look at our previous Q&A rounds, to check if your particular question has already been answered before:

Two simple, but loaded questions:

Will there be any meaningful content for the non-PvP players?

Will there be any meaningful content for the Hominists/Trytonists?

FYI - Since we always strive to focus on the community's current top concerns and questions, I will also take questions from the various Episode 2 and PvP-related feedback threads into account, when submitting the next batch of questions to the development team. However, please feel free to post those questions, or additional Ep2-related questions here as well.

I just wanted to post a quick note about that, to let you guys know your questions in those threads have not been ignored. ;)

Neglecting a lot of what is bothering me at this time:

(EP2) What, as exactly as you can answer it without giving away too many spoilers, are the rewards granted for personal honour points?

Might be helpful to define meaningful.

I don't know what you mean, but for me it would be...

* Similar rewards game extensions to that given by Ep2/FvF.
* Titles/Ency Missions/Equipment
* Lore
* Truly interactive events/NPCs.

What response where the folks over at Nevrax expecting from the community regarding the implemation of Episode 2? What are their current feelings after reviewing some of the posts in these forums?

Personally, an answer to this question would help myself understand more of where Nevrax is coming from, and perhaps what they, themselves, are hoping for from the community in the future.

Thanks,

Goofy

When do Nevrax plan on updating the Player Information and Game Info sections of the main website to be more consistent, as the section on PvP in the Game Info in particular is not an accurate reflection of things.

Also not really a question I know but it would make sense for the nav to include a link to the Atys Chronicles site in the Lore section.

What do the Kami and Karavan do with the dapper they collect?

Currently, it seems like you're limiting the faction vs. faction competition to full PvP combat zones. Are there going to be any efforts to introduce non-PvP combat elements to the kami/karavan storyline?

Let me give an example to illustrate what I mean...

Perhaps the location of a new, resource-rich land has become known. Both the kami and karavan could enlist our help to be the first to create a gateway to that new land. This could involve harvesters digging the portal, crafters building the portal, and fighters keeping the kitins at bay.

In this example, there wouldn't need to be PvP combat at all, however, it's still faction vs. faction competition that could advance the kami/karavan war storyline.

Is Nevrax taking the long-term stance that the only way to have FvF competition is through PvP combat zones?
