If you look at the Arispotle Fyros sanctuary construction, the root, trunk and core numbers are, on average, 12.3% complete. However, the overall completion number is at 4%. Am I missing something here, or do these imply that there are more sections to the sanctuaries and temples and perhaps two new zones after Aelius Dunes?

You are correct, after the root trunk and core the Kami have a dirty secret. The remainder of the temple is constructed of living flesh and devout souls. You will have to sacrifice your women and children for the glory of Ma'Duk.

I thought about this. Maybe at later stages there will be an "east wing, north wing" etc.

For clarity, it says:

Sanctuary 4%
Root 13%
Trunk 11%
Core 14%

I would guess branches and leaves come next.

I thought much about this as well. The best I could come up with is that the Sanctuary number is actual effort, not percentage.

In that I mean that the 3 pieces do not add up to 300%.

i.e. (Disclaimer: my fake numbers are all made up)
Part 1 takes 200,000 mats (currently 14%)
Part 2 takes 750,000 mats (currently 4%)
Part 3 takes 350,000 mats. (currently 20%)

In effect the sum of all of this could be more like you say although I do agree with others thoughts that maybe the 3 parts do not make the whole.
