How things could develop

Multi-Events. There may still be. But this is an idea how it could cater for all..

Lets take one at a time.

The PVP Enthusiast Zone

Zone like it is now, FvF - Objective - Dominance over the domain, to allow the Karavan to retrive the old land materials. Or for the Kami to preserve it.

Or

Kami or Karavan have set up a camp/fortress within a zone, rival faction must invade and tear it down in the name of their gods.

The Non PVP Zone

Kinda like the Nexus Raid - Karavan and Kami seek item from deep within a zone, currently overrun with Kitin.

Or have Kami or Karavan forces attacking new homin cities. (Good chance to bring in the wookie kami things or the Stormtroopers as seen in videos)

The Neutral Zones

Quests laid out by high ranking people in each land. Not for the Karavan or the Kami, but for the homin.

Could have brought Dark/Alternate versions of each race into play. Some tolerant of others, some aggresive towards other homins, and who now discovering that new civilations have arisen, seek to invade and conquer.

--------

Anything could have been done with the only limit being the imagination. 3 zones set up with a choice of what you want to do. The main thing being that you have a choice of how you do it. Serve the Karavan or Kami in a PvP style, serve them in non pvp way, or dont serve them at all.

Each would bring their own rewards, only obtainable by those who partake in each event, thus also adding certain players with abilities to provide items others cant.

---------

The main thing that seems to have arisen i think, is the lack of choice, apart from you either do the event, or you dont, but thats not really a choice.

In any story, there will be people who dont follow the way the society would like it to be. Neutral players are penalised, by having to wait for their content to crop up. Non PVP players are penalised, by not being able to partake in their factions event.

Even PVP players are penalised, because people are crying out for the end of the PVP, and/or leaving the game.

Having all three options open, adds more and more to the story, takes it in limitless directions depending on the outcome of each event as opposed to Kami got their temple built first, or Karavan got their temple built first...next event..with multiple events you get.. "Karavan got their temple built, but the kami retrieved the artifact. The dark races pushed into the normal realms, and have established camps, while the Karavan forces destroyed the new Fyros city of...<insert name>"

in the end keeps every player happy because they were able to add to the world and the story in the way that they love to play a game they have great faith in and want to see succeed.

Just my 2 cents worth, which is probably only worth 1/2 a cent really hehe

Yeah, patience.... some people think Ryzom should lose more subscribers left as we're overflowing with them or something???

Indeed Martinr that is how it should have been, and with all the talk of PvP on the forums and their original vision I really have to question what kind of shortsightedness sadly lead to this. Plus if we had different zones of different types we wouldn't have to worry about this nonsense with desert not being desert forage.

I would also add that they really, really need to make more use of their fame system and in a creative way. Those who have positive fame with both factions should be able to choose which they serve... and switch sides at will. The advantage of being neutral should be to gain favor with both sides and for it to be useful. The fame dedicated should also be rewarded.

We can only hope that Nevrax wises up in time, puts a halt to the way things are currently and works to get back lost subscriptions... an apology and reinstating their account for them has always seemed to be a good strategy. I'm afraid they're going to try the whole patch 1 response a second time though. :(

Hi martin, thanks for your feedback and your suggestions. Please keep in mind though that many of these things are still being expanded, developed and improved. Nevrax regularly adjusts game aspects based on community feedback. In fact, sometimes certain things cannot be finalized before having enough feedback available. Don't be too upset, there's still work in progress and much to come. :)

Regarding your ideas, please be sure to let Nevrax know about them, ideally by posting them in one of the relevant feedback threads, i.e. the threads about rewards (http://www.ryzom.com/forum//showthread.php?t=18978) and outpost battles (http://www.ryzom.com/forum//showthread.php?t=18943).

No worries, it was just a suggestion, wasnt a dig at Nevrax, or those who like certain types of play. Ill admit my wording did come off a little negative. But i was trying to reflect what some of the other posts were saying, not my own opinions on it. Im not unhappy with things at this present moment. While im not keen on pvp myself, ive managed to keep myself occupied by doing other things i neglected while on my dig/craft grinds hehe.

If any of these ideas do get implemented ill expect the brown bag full of money in the usual location ;) :D
