How hard would it have been...

to have catered for the neutrals in this episode?

Here's a suggestion, and please, if you see any real flaws with this, please let me know.

The ancient lands are created as they have been in this patch. Great for the gank-happy, the kami/kara fanatics and the just plain bored with PvE people. One section of the server satisfied. Tick the box.

Now the neutrals. Make another land. Similar to the PvP lands created but not PvP. The objective is to build a neutral building.. such as a library or a monument to the homins that have fought the kitin bravely.

Put a lot of kitin in the region. Give neutral honour points for killing the kitin in these areas in the same way that they're given in the pvp areas for killing opposite-faction homins. Aside from that, everything works out the same... points for harvesting, points for crafting, points for killing.

I don't see how any of the neutrals who have been dissatisfied with this episode thus far could still be upset given a system like that, where they have been catered for.

Instead, what do we get? Representatives from Elias Tryton talking to, no, scratch that, at us for less than 10 minutes before walking off without answering a single question, telling us to just join in on whichever side happens to be losing. Right.. so if kami are losing, I'll just go out, get 52 fame points with kami and go help them. then if they start to win, I'll go out, get some fame with kara again and go help them..

Be honest Nevrax, you never intended to cater for neutral homins. At least had you done so we could have respected some basic honesty.

The only reason they didn't do that is then there would never be a Kami or Karavan temple built.

I don't think that any digger would set foot in the Kami Karavan warzone if there was a FvF free area.

I know I wouldn't

Well.. that would have forced players to show their real dedication to kami/karavan then :P

What is a neutral honor point? Don't you have opinions? Can't you stand up for your own beliefs instead of placing value in the circular argument of the value of life?

Sorry Lathaniel, but you are revived frequently by the Kami or the Karavan. Isn't it a bit rude to deny them your graces.

Actually, I'm revived occasionally by homins. I don't ever recall a kami or a karavan rezzing me.

If you would like to read my beliefs, rather than assume I have none, you can find them here: http://www.ballisticmystix.com/posts/list/161.page. If you have no interest in doing so, then fair enough, please don't post about things you know nothing about.

Finally, your question of "What is a neutral honor point?". That's exactly the problem Swe, it doesn't exist. Pretty soon, neither will a neutral homin either.

Half of the mats needed for temple are in PvE area, other half in FvF area. Like Shell and Resin in PvE, Sap and Amber in FvF.

PvE peeps need FvF peeps to make progress and vice-versa, everybody happy. You can even do PvE if you feel tired and FvF if you want some quick action or want the tension of digging in a contested area.

That caters to non-PvP players not to neutrals. Neutrals do not worship Jena or Ma-Duk...they are not necessarily opposed to PvP.

I'm glad I wasn't first to comment on this.

It could have been worse I guess, in that at least it is something.

But a single grain of rice is not a meal. :(
