Think about it

They recycled a noobie island Template into a little digging area.
Recycled NPC guards at each end (Those Kami guards were the "Fyros Defenders" from beta that kept killing me).
They recycled and steroided up some kinchers and give them boss/minion behaviour.
They recycled current harvesting graphics for new mission mats that they seem to expect us to dig for months and months.
They give us new crafting pattern thats based on jewlry to craft and craft for months.
They've put in faction to faction in this little island so you can kill each other off over and over and over for points.

They've essentially put together the harvesting, with the click fest, and the crafting portion, of last event with FvF killing and made the goals so long tedius.

They made it desert to give Kami a head start (I realize you can dig anywhere) since most Fyros are Kami and will be adept desert digging.

Lastly the made the Area so Small with Agro so crazy that essentially you die you cant get a rez and people end up with death penalty that slows down their progress in other areas.

Oh there are a few new buildings and effects.

You know nevrax it would have been really nice if you had a Real Event like the last one where we got the event weapons. You know a world wide race to help each other out building up NPC defenses against an onslaught of kitin. Instead you throw recycle poo at us.

Yeah... it could have been done better Sinful... but they made us wait long enough, at least we got a nugget to gnaw on awhile...

PvPers got content, non-PvP is forced to do same old stuff (you _will_ get PK'd in new zone)

Almost everything you write is ill informed... you may help your faction by crafting without ever entering the battlefields...

I am fairly evenly dug, crafted and fought for Jena..

Actually no. The temples themselves sit within PvP-zones of their own, thus the warning popping up 'You will be attackable in 30 seconds.'.

hehe, that's almost like "Ryzom is open skill system, you have thousands of levels to gain, so you dont get bored" (66% true, 33% false, 1% rounding error) ;-)

PvP fighters can enjoy themselves non-stop.
PvP foragers can enjoy themselves non-stop.
crafters (PvP/non-PvP) need to wait for foragers to get mats in.

i tryed crafting - clickfest, dont mind if i actually would be able to craft. there is not enough mats coming in (yeah, that's the point of all that killing)

- about crafters entering FvF zone.. dont mind that one bit, it's somewhat hard to nuke you there (but doable). guards will patrol that area and they have 50m aggro range (as is FvF area, 50m..55m from them)

- lets not talk about craft npc campers here ;-)

me - non-PvP forager, cant enjoy Episode 2 content one bit.

Ooops too late lol , I always wait till noones around before turning over my mats (to ensure I get to craft them) , but that only realy works if youre getting the sap (single mat for the core) or can get the other mats in the correct proportions

...I expect that ploy is only realy good for the Zorai as theres only about 30 of us lol , Episode II is going to take forever in the Witherings

True but you'd be inviting the wrath of the guards if you ventured in there with negative fame.

Point goes to Sinful, they could have done better with the resources and talent they have available to them. They could have put it on ATS and the testers could have pointed out some of the short-commings, some of which they are patching Thursday, before making it live. Maybe the honour system would have been tweaked to reward harvesting more than PK'ng harvesters. After all, do nothing but fight you're not gonna get your temple built!! And it does look like its gonna take weeks to finish a temple (less than 2% per day just on the Pyr temple's foundation - the one being built the fastest).

I've been out in AD for two nights. Been killed a dozen times but never PK'd (fired upon a few times but I've never fired on anyone). The Kitins, Kami Tolerence and the desert harvest have slowed my progress significantly but I still managed to contribute. Can't craft anything 'cause so few in Tryker can pull the amber and Resin.

Most peeps engaged in PvP were enjoying themselves (from the region chatter). A few called foul (mat camping, dragging aggro, one-shot PK on foragers, guilds playing both sides, "honour farming") but for the most part peeps were having fun. My PvP involvement was limited to rez'ing folks after the war party moved on.

I understand I shouldn't be there if I don't want to become a target. I conn purple because of my skill with a pick so I'm a tempting target. I'm foraging so I'll go down fast. Free honour for the taking. *gulp, I just realized I just painted a bulls-eye on my backside* But there is content, new land to explore, a temple to build, a story to be part of. So I'm going to be out there until it becomes old and something new comes along.

Pfft you haven't tried this or you would know that crafting is

1.) pitiful Honor points
2.) a PITA with constant no materials for this blah blah.

Edit: You sit there and try to to figure out which part has materials to make. Pretty much you have to go for the low value of parts to make as well since there might be enough to maek 1 but not 10. Extremely lameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and stupid. Can you say Dumbest Way to implement the crafting portion ever! Why yes you can !
