I had noticed in some of the new movies that the camera person had turned off all the ... aw damn, @work and can't remember what it's called ... the stuff that floats above friends' and enemys' heads. Anyhoo, I tried that and I've been playing without the tags ever since. It does get a bit odd to see an eye floating above an animal's head but it makes the game more immersive for me.

Anybody else try it? Did it change your gameplay and does it make the game more real to you?

I'd even like to turn the eye off.

I did. The eye is somehow usefull when i am digging close to aggros.

What i would like to switch of is the higlightning of animals when my mousepointer is over them. Also this white crosshair. Especially when digging. I dont need it, bubbles are visible enough. Same goes for teleporters and animals who are crossing the screen so that i dont see the animal but this huge white crosshair.

Just saw this, and haven't actually tried it yet. Am going to try it now though!

Yeah looks cool. Might have to change it back at some point though, for hunts n such like.

Awesome! I did not know you could do that! Cool! I hate the names, and agree that the highlighting stuff should be optional, too...

for movies, SHIFT-F5 is usually used

I turn it off whenever I can.

It gets me to actually see everyone as people and recognize them by their hair, tattoo, and armor.

Only works with high resolutions.

Makes it too hard to see enemies in PVP zone though.

the highlighting/crosshairs i'd never get rid of....
have you never ported into somewhere (EF kara a good example) and had a mob right behind you... tried to click on tp... nothing hapens... click again... and you turn around and punch a plant.

this has only hapned to me once cos the 'highlight' was actually off the screen. but removing this would make hittingthewrongmobcositsstoodrightbehindme much more frequent

Right click the TP instead of left clicking it.

Do u mean to Also get rid of the Target box, System Tray, Compass etc??

Personlly i think that all the "junk" above mob/other players just clutters up the screen. but mostly i play wiht just the HP/SAP/STAM above other players heads. (maionly cos you can the heal people apporpiately) it will say when u target them what their name/Title is. but when im teamed i turn it all off and just run from the team window.

The shift-F5 concet is fairly new, AFAIK. but you wouldnt want to use that for everday useage, well not unless you dont want to talk to any1.
