Prime root mobs and xp

I think it was peteJ who brought it up in another thread here but its something I was thinking just yesterday
instead of giving superherbies to us, why could they have not simply increased the amount of xp prime root mobs give in line with their ludricous HP.
a red 4* kincher in PR is harder than a 5* purple jug yet a lvl230 will be lucky to get a few hundred xp off it
is there a good reason why this is the case?
PR seems to only be used by diggers (who would avoid them mobs like the plague) or *cough* gankers (who seem pretty rare in my opinion)
there's a good few lands on atys that dont see more than 3 people at any one time and then places like GoC where you have to queue for a spot because it has the only mob high levels can get XP off without standing there killing some herb with 9000000000000000hp (or dai den)
simple solution for the "need varied diet of mobs to hunt" crowd
come on, who doesnt wanna chain kill annoying vorax

From my experience (literally) and time it take to drop like mobs (jugs most noticably) its seems a pr mob has about twice the hp of a surface variety of the same 'strength' and xp. However this is not the same for the bosses as it take just about the same time to kill Ragukin as it does Rakoo (both lvl 270 ragus) not like twice as long. not done thourgh tests mind you bet the trend of x2 hp seems fairly consistant (aside from the bosses and their conventional surface guard mobs).

would only be fair. If think not killing superherbies is also part of being Kami aligned. Therefore there should be some compensation down in PR for the followers of the Kami
Beside all the comming news we sure need some real big (in terms of HP, damage and XP) kitins and other aggros. No matter if on surface or in the roots.

if that is the case, upping the xp to 1.5x would be fair-ish, 2x would be great

Totally agree dakhound.
Improve xp from PR mobs kills two birds with one stone. Homin have something interesting to kill besides superherbies and a reason to go to PR other than digging.

I have long thought that bringing the PR XP in line with their HP woud only be fair.

I don't know... true it doesn't seem fair that the creatures down there have twice the health for the same experience, but isn't that kind of the point? The Prime Roots are supposed to be a dangerous and challenging place, that's the reason the creatures there are more powerfull. But just powerfull creatures don't scare off homins, on the contrary they attract them. Because we have a relatively high amount of highlevel players, the few aboveground purple zones we have - GoC, Void, Flaming Forest - are usually the busiest regions on Atys with the exception of the capitals. That kind of breaks the illusion of those places being the most dangerous. If the creatures in the Roots were to give good experience for the challenge they provide, the Roots would turn into a high-level training ground too. Having the creatures give lousy experience compared to how strong they are is really the only way to establish the region as a place that is to be shunned.
And comparing kinchers with jugulas isn't really a fair comparison, kinchers are meant to be far more powerfull than their level indicates and also give experience accordingly. Even a non-PR kincher could easily take on two of any other creature of it's level. (Though I still wonder why the kincher, a 'kitin hunter', is far more powerfull than the 'migrant protector' kipucka or the 'kitin soldier' kirosta.)

so you think that basically 11 areas of the game should be so pointless to anyone but diggers?
I'm not talking about making it any less dangerous, even the best of hunting teams would be in trouble if they were pulling vorax and a kitin patrol seen them.
My opinion is ... Risk=reward .............so simple
in PR you risk alot and gain nothing meaning a large part of atys is unused except for the occasional digger silly enough to be sat waiting for weather.
I'm sorry if you see it so for some RP reason (i.e we're not suppsed to be there) but surely in a practical sense its not right?

BTW. is it possible that some kitin in PR are smarter then their counterparts on the surface ?
Last weekend i met the first smart Kincher down there. Was a 2 or 3 star red one. Close to the gate to Zorai. He attacked, run away, came back to attack just to run away again. We had awful problems with him and his companions and ended with DP.
Never saw this before, usually a Kincher stays and hits until you are dead or he is. I really look forward to R2 where i am able to play the Kincher
on topic i think only aggros should give more xp, not the herbivores.
