I've been hoping for a while to get in on the "ground floor" of a MMORPG.
I stumbled across an Interesting game on Sept 19th (after the SWG disaster I stopped looking that hard). It was supposed to go live the next day, and pre-ording crossed my mind. I'm glad I did'nt now after reading some of the posts. I bought it at EB today a mile from my house.
Now, to my point.
I wanted to be here in the begining (or atleast very close after beta). It took me about hour to create an account. The account creation page laaaggged so bad I was getting scared the game would too. Finally I create an account and start to play.
First thing I did was accept a trade. Thought wow just logged in got new boots a magic focus staff thingy a dagger thingy +10 for the boots and dagger. Thanks Elianddra or something like that
Then the game froze!!!!! Then it took like 5 minutes to log back on. (cable internet,2.4 gig processor 1gig ram and 256mb video). It shouldnt take that long.
Then they shut down the sever within 15 minutes.
I got in on the ground floor LOL
Got what I wished for.
I'm not complaining I'm rambling.
Finally to my point, Most of the forum suggestion for patching the game are wonderful a few will just be ignored for their lameness.
But if they add too many features that are standard to MMORPGs without adding some kind of unique SoR tweeks I fear the game will become a clone of all the sad, tired, and boring MMORPGs that are out there.
